Do you have any idea of the magnitude of the job that the media specialist had to do? I'm sure she is not "taking her time." The important unpacking tasks that serve the needs of our students have obviously been first priority and have been taken care of. Perhaps you, me and others could ask how we might help?

It's November......shouldn't all library resources be available to the students by now?

If she is still unpacking are the needs of the students really being met with possible materials that should be available to them still in boxes?

My son attends Johnson and is finally getting to school on time. His bus route had to be adjusted to get the kids there on time..it only took the transportation department 8 - 9 weeks and numerous phone calls to get it fixed.....

Same here.

As far as the unpacking goes, don't you think there should be plenty of personnel at the mega-school due to this wonderful and innovative job-saving plan?

"The important unpacking tasks that serve the needs of our students have obviously been first priority and have been taken care of. Perhaps you, me and others could ask how we might help?"

And it's still taking this long to get resources to the students? Does this show competence? How does that improve STUDENT LEARNING? Again, another unnecessary side effect of the LIe.

Most people would not have a problem helping out LPS more if they had been truthful and honest with us from the start of this nightmare. Now a lot of us are spending that time shopping for a new home, and looking for educational alternatives for our children.

You hit the nail on the head.

The feelings of betrayal and distrust continue on.
Our elected school board and Dr. Liepa, BETRAYED the parents in the LPS district. It is not something that will just go away.
Give us a reason to trust them, and maybe just maybe some of us will find our way back into the schools again. So far nothing has been done to gain ANY trust back. For myself, as Legacy continues on I just keep having the feelings of distrust and betrayal validated. My disgust for the Legacy plan fueled by what is now happening to our schools. Things I never imagined would happen.
Bomb and guns threats in our ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS!!
500+ students LEAVING LPS THIS YEAR.
Traditions at elementary schools IGNORED in the 5/6 schools. Broken promises to our children.

Dr. Liepa please tell us how these are NOT a direct result of YOUR Legacy Plan?
Remember YOU and the BOE OWN the Legacy Plan.
IT IS NOT WORKING!!!

As a matter of fact I have absolutely no idea of the magnitude of the job the media specialist had to do! The only thing I have heard about it from LPS is how well it went. Everyone worked super duper hard and completed the move.

Sunshine & rainbows, puppy dogs & fuzzy bunny slippers!

P.S. Next May is when I will help out LPS.
