11. WAIVER PETITION: Planning Commission, re: Petition 2006-08-02-20 submitted by Maniac’s Café & Sweets requesting approval to operate a limited service restaurant on property located on the south side of Five Mile Road, between Newburgh Road and Blue Skies Avenue (37587 Five Mile Road), in the Northeast ¼ of Section 19.



12. SITE PLAN PETITION: Planning Commission, re: Petition 2006-07-08-16 submitted by Byblos General Contracting Company in connection with a proposal to demolish and reconstruct the gas station (Mobil) located on the southwest corner of Five Mile and Middlebelt Roads (29401 Five Mile Road), in the Northeast ¼ of Section 23.

PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 543, AS AMENDED: Department of Law, re: Petition 2006-07-01-05 submitted by the City Planning Commission pursuant to Council Resolution 325-06 and Section 23.01(a) of the Livonia Zoning Ordinance, as amended, for a change of zoning of property located on the east side of Stonehouse Avenue, between West Chicago Boulevard and Minton Avenue (9400 Stonehouse Avenue), in the Southeast ¼ of Section 31 from RUF to PL (Rural Urban Farm – ½ Acre Lots to Public Lands).

Public Hearing held on October 16, 2006.

ROLL CALL: Proposed amendment to Zoning Ordinance No. 543, as amended, Department of Law, re: Petition 2006-05-06-02 submitted by the City Planning Commission pursuant to Council Resolution #252-06 and Section 23.01(a) of Zoning Ordinance No. 543, as amended, to determine whether or not to amend Section 8.07(a) (Waiver Uses) of Article VIII of Zoning Ordinance No. 543, as amended, in order to reduce the minimum outdoor play area requirement for child day care nurseries.

First Reading given by Councilmember Godfroid-Marecki on October 25, 2006.

ROLL CALL: Proposed amendment to the Livonia Code of Ordinances, as amended, Department of Law, re: Petition 2006-06-03-01 submitted by Lori Barnes requesting the vacating of a six foot (6’) wide utility easement for the purpose of installing a pool on property located on the west side of Francavilla Drive, between Six Mile Road and Myron Drive (17417 Francavilla Drive), in the Southeast ¼ of Section 9, subject to the relocating of the affected public utility equipment presently occurring within the subject easement area.

22. WAIVER PETITION: Planning Commission, re: Petition 2006-08-02-21 submitted by Kreative Designs, Inc., on behalf of A & C Animal Hospital, requesting approval to operate a veterinary hospital on property located on the west side of Farmington Road, between Plymouth Road and the CSX Railroad right-of-way (11655 Farmington Road), in the Southeast ¼ of Section 28.

23. ACCEPTANCE OF DONATION: Department of Community Resources and the Livonia Historical Commission, re: of $400 in materials and $1,600 in labor from Jack Baucus for electrical work completed on the second floor of the Alexander Blue House at Greenmead.
