Maybe everyone should call their principal(s) and ask if a survey has been given or if they intend to do one. Please post your responses! |

Instead of wasting the taxpayers $ on campainging for Scheel and saying that the LIe is going so well, they should have sent a survey to every LPS parent. |

How much time and money is being put into this survey? Can someone post the questions? Is it being done internally or did they hire a firm? |

My child goes to Johnson and never heard of such a survey. Perhaps it was something a student designed for a project in math or social studies ... |

I have a child at Johnson, and he told us there were 2 questions on the survey: (1) Do you like Johnson (2) Do you like K-6 or 5/6 He also told us he could write comments on it. He put he didn't like Johnson because he doesn't get to see his good friends at school anymore, and he liked K-6 better. |

I just asked my child at Johnson about this and yes he also filled out this survey. He said he wrote that he misses his old school and seeing his friends. The kids didn't write their names so I guess if the survey is not in the best interest of its authors no one will know any better. |

What class and what teacher gave the survey? Was it the whole school? Why Johnson and not the others? |

I just spoke with a friend who works for another very nearby district. She indicated that in her district the kids cannot be surveyed without the consent of their parent/guardian. Now this leads to the question if this is legal or just a district policy??? Has LPS overstepped legal boundaries?? |

Why is everyone jumping to conclusions about this "survey". It obviously did not go out to the whole school. Kristin - you started the thread, do you have any other details. Was it just your child's class? |

I just asked my son and he took the survey "a few days ago" he is in Mrs. Yee's class at Johnson. Then he told me that today a lady came in to his classroom to ask about how everyone was feeling about changing to the new school. This was right after lunch and my son said it took about 2 hours. This REALLY upsets me!!! I do not like my son to take any survey of any kind without me knowing in advance, AND, it is so nice money can be spent to have "some lady" come in and talk to my child about his feelings for 2 hours. This is being done in a school that can't afford to give each child his or her own text books??? WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. |
