I think that it would be awfully hard to find the sunshine and rainbows in this mess. They've apparently gone silent here.... |

It is impossible to make anyone on this site happy. Negativity runs rampant throughout the site and anything positive is frowned upon. Make sure that you notice it is the same few individuals who post over and over again about how horrible everything is. |

What do we have to be positive about "STRONGsupporter"? Should we feel positive that the district is in the hole and major cuts are coming? |

I have very positive feelings. I feel this BOE has positively made a big mess and have us in as bad or worse a financial situation than we were before. |

You have no obligation to try to make anyone happy on this site. People here have very valid points about the financial situation, the shifting of funds and the student loss. Yes, it is negative subject matter, but it is what it is. Are people supposed to turn a blind eye to those things? How do you feel about those issues? And please stop hiding behind "no wants wants to hear the positive" or "I'll be jumped on for my thoughts" many are trying to understand how you and others can continue to support what appears to be incompetence (at best) or complete decpetion (at worst). Where is the positive in depleting the fund equity to bail out the LI? Where is the positive in alienating the families of the 500 students that fled? If you have some positive, bring it on....the BOE and admin are sinking fast. |

I like the small class sizes, at least in the K-4. Unfortunately, that may be the first thing to go now that we have lost 520 students. It is hard to be positive with so much going wrong. I like all of our teachers at our school, but it makes me sad to know that many will be gone next year. Sorry everyone, but I can find nothing but sadness in losing that many kids. Especially when so many of us knew that it was going to happen 6 months ago. |

We are all negative? Hmmm... sounds like a variant of the old "kill the messanger if you don't like the message". Would you rather just watch things go down hill without comment? In a democracy, if you disagree, you speak out. |

Anyone who posts, "You guys are so negative, blah, blah, my kid's bus is on time..and, I love the incredibly diminishing 'specials,'" must be students of Dale Carnagie's School of Mind Control. ???? AK |

I am a supporter of the LI, but my opinion doesn't mattter on this website. I have no answers that will make you happy. I am through posting what I find positive. It will just be picked apart. Many people on this website will never be happy. I am personally happy with the education my child is getting and know of many others who are also happy. |

But weren't you happy with your child's education last year, too? My point is, was all this anguish worth it? If it ain't broke, don't fix it. |

Will you still be happy when the district has to increase class size and cut programs? |

So, if your child is happy, then let the system sink? It's good that they're happy, but were they unhappy last year??? Was it not better to leave things as they were, invest another year in study and make sure it would work? What the BOE has done is put our once respected district into worse shape than it was in before their LI. And if the majority of students that left because of the LI do not come back (which I would be surprised if they did) we'll be in even worse shape next year. |
