I know they can't or aren't supposed to support a candidate? They can talk about gun control and bullying, because those are issues, (no brainers) I would have thought they could have said something one way or the other. I don't think membership will be as high next year. You can still have parents active volunteers whether they're card carrying PTA members or not. You don't have to be a PTA member to volunteer at your child's school. PTA membership is very high at Adams and probably at Roosevelt also. Both seem to have many involved parents. I think it is just that Adams and Roosevelt are effected by the LI more than many other areas in Livonia, losing 2 schools each due to Riley closing as a middle school, Adams closing entirely and the Roosevelt area switching from Churchill to Franklin. If you look at it, the Adams area will have a complete change in schools for grades K-8, the only thing not changing for us is our high school. Roosevelt stays open as a lower elementary, but for grades 5-12 change schools completely under the LI. We are also pretty far away from Cooper, which is the 5/6 for both and of course many have concerns about the environmental issues. I believe there is a high concentration of people that are against the LI at these 2 schools due to the high level of disruption. Perhaps there is a reason why we were not invited to join the demographics committee??? Correct Nancy! Both schools were very close to 100% participation on membership. And yes we were the only 2 schools without some sort of teacher, parent or principal representative on the Demographic committee.

Seems eerily similar to the concept of the District Transition Team deciding on the start times. :angry:

Running for EVERY position on the board but President.... That's really strange because only 2 people from our school (hoover) ran for the riley pta. One ran for @nd vice prez and the other for recording sec. Is there a website that gives this info?
