If I recall correctly, I believe Mr. King is all for outsourcing. If it helps cut costs AND provides a quality service I don't know how you can't look at it. I have several friends that know numerous employees of LPS. Many of the employees are said to be VERY VERY nervous about King beating out JAM and fear losing their jobs to outsourcing.
CMIC, I am not slamming you and I understand your profession. I have agreed with almost all of your previous posts, but in these extremely hard times I don't think any job is untouchable. That includes jobs within LPS. I would NEVER want a teacher/LPS employee to lose their job, but if money can be saved by some form of outsourcing then I believe it should at least be looked at. After all, in my opinion the whole L.I. was designed so that LPS would not lose any jobs. It is not about the kids, but rather retaining LPS jobs.

People should not be concerned about Mr. King. We need to remember he is only one vote out of seven!

I hope that many more people do vote in the elections from now on.  I hope everyone studies the info about the candidates and chooses the one they think will do the best job.  No disrespect but I hope people don't vote for someone "just to shake things up". Everyone will need to decide for themselves.  If you are looking for info there were some informative articles regarding Mr. King and Ms. Morgan prior to the last election.  It would be interesting to compare those platforms with whatever the candidates say before this election.

That is a good point momofone. It certainly isn't bad to have diverse people on the board. Any new ideas should be welcomed. I need to think about it in that perspective as well. Thanks for the reminder. I keep forgetting that I am voting for him to join others not to have only his ideas reign supreme... (I watch too much Iron Chef).

I agree that part of my post stated was disrespectful to Mr. King. You are correct in that parts of my post could have been left out and still made sense. However on this forum I have seen post after post after post disrespecting the current school board for doing their job. Some comments I agree with some I don't but it seems to me that many of you are trying to sway the vote the other way without providing what I consider factual information either. Not only are people bringing up things in regards to the LI but now are delving into people's personal business as well. I guess I don't understand why it's okay to do this to the current board members but the minute I make one comment about Mr. King I am told that it is unecessary and disrespectful. If opinions are allowed on this forum than there can't be 2 sets of rules about how opinions can be stated.
