Why are you so concerned about Rosedale. That argument is over. We are losing focus on the LI |

The Bryant property is another that should be looked into. Taxpayers paid for its demolishion several years ago. It is now being leased out for $1.00 a year to St Marys for overflow parking. Does this make any sense? They have NO plans to sell it, so they say. The BOE is going to have to get use to having everything they touch looked at under a microscope by citizens in this community. Loss of trust is something that they have brought on themselves with the way they handled the Legacy Plan from the very beginning. So questions will be raised continuously and publicly, but will they be answered? |

The letter starts off by saying the current Cooper Elementary has been open since 1991. It was relocated due to environmental concerns at the previous school across the street. Next year they are hopeful that construction of a medical office building will begin on the old site. The 2nd page is questions and answers. It says there will be a plan in place to ensure environmental safety for everyone oversought by MDEQ. Investigation is approximately 69% complete based on the percentage of planned subsurface investigation locations to date. Field investigation is suppose to be completed in spring 2006. During construction there will be dust controll measures and air monitoring. I have zero trust in the board. They do not put kids first. |

Because it shows a pattern of behavior of this Board. I could bring up the homes on Stonehouse, the Bentley swap, Stark, YADA YADA YADA.... Someone made the comment that Mr. Wojcik was looking foolish at the BOE meeting for asking questions. Back when I went to school, we were told that the only stupid question is the one that isn't asked. Maybe since the LI keeps all admin jobs, but gets rid of schools, it begs the question "what going to happen to the schools/land?" Looking at their past practices gives an idea. LPS can not keep selling off land to fund the schools. Again Mr. Wojcik...I applaud you for your forward thinking. |

I have a few questions regarding the bid contracts for both Cooper and Churchill Auditorium. I do not understand what CM Reimbursables @ $26,000 (for Cooper) and $25,250 (for Churchill.) Contigency $54,946 (for Cooper) and $75,643 for Churchill. The GWA Fee $13,537 (for Cooper) and$10,488 (for Churchill). Misc. Demo $5,000 for each. I am not implying anything, I simply just don't understand what these are, but they sure do cost some. If there are any contractors or such that could fill me in I would like to know. Thanks. Also the blue sign thread is gone, but there was one in Perrinville's Staff Lounge, encouraging everyone to write to the Observer and Leipa with gratitude. We should be doing the same with our regards. |

They aren't that far behind. Chances are there's a mistake done somewhere. 6 mos max @ this time. The LPS Deal should of been recorded @ the city by now. Soave probably just figured he'd skip the tax thing. That's my opinion. Also, sale was recorded it should state the sale price on the City Website. |

Yes, cklockner, Bryant was the first thing that came to mind when someone mentioned Rosedale being demolished with our $$$. Here we go again. |

I have also wondered about the Bryant property. I have heard that (and I believe Mr. Bailey mentioned this) that the school board wants to one day build a mega high school there and close the other three high schools. I really think that this is what they are planning on - which amazes me. I don't know where they think they would ever get the funding for such a project - they are burning up any cash our district has and you know there WILL NOT be an influx of new families with children - why move here? |

Clarification: FYI. I spoke with someone from the City and they stated that the transfer probably won't be complete on the parcels by the CT until the planning commission and city council approve the deal. Just so everyone knows. |

So what should you look for on the City Council Agenda regarding this? |

Did anyone notice that we are called the "vocal minority" and the supporters are the "silent majority"? Is that why only 1 supporter showed up, and no one applauded his comments? I wonder if that's why the camera never once showed the audience? |

The silent majority are fictional charactors in this horror novel. |

Here's some more about that issue. Mr. Wojcik and everyone else has every right to question the BOE on our school property, PERIOD! Maybe if that darn BOE would answer people's questions and concerns, we would be left to speculate so much! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ (This is what I was told from a person still PO'd over this who lives in the Rosedale Gardens neighborhood) Not only did the buyer/LPS consultant/ Roskelly not pay what the land was worth, he donated the North portion of the land back to the city to be used for a park. He was in turn, given a $150,000 tax credit, as quoted by Mr. Roskelly in the Livonia Observer, dated Sept. 4, 2003. Furthermore, the remaining land has been further subdivided into 6 residential building sites. Now remember, he was already given a $150,000 tax credit, and now each of these 6 lots are valued at $60,000 minimum each. Do the math! The deed is recorded at $320,000 and was drafted by Mr. Roskelly himself. This deed was dated 7/26/2001. The actual transaction included $140,000 CASH, and a parcel trade that has not yet been identified. Roskelly and Leo Soave were also both involved the sale of Stark Elementary School located on Stark Rd, south of Plymouth, which is now full of residential homes/condos. |
