What was said about Cooper?

Other than spending $550,000 to remodel it? Not much...

We have just begun to fight!
I have said it before and I will say it again.

If this plan did not get pushed through like it did we would still have a surplus and the funds to operate for another year so this could have been done the right way, with community involvement, stakeholder input, proper planning, professional impact studies, real time data, and using proven industry standards for cost savings and efficiency methodologies. It would not have been questioned to the degree it has to be today.

There has been nothing transparent or shared with full disclosure to the public. If there is nothing to hide then what would be the problem with stopping the spending of all these funds to support the LI, draining every account LPS has, and let's do this the right way?

The uproar in this community, the divisions, the questions, the uncertainty can all be answered by the BOE and LPS by stopping and healing this district, these two cities, this entire community...it all rests on thier sholders. There is only one entity that can bring us all together, and if they would only swallow a little pride we could all heal.

Do what is right and what everybody wants...bring this community together BOE and LPS...don't make this the worst headlines this city has endured since our forefathers concieved of this wonderful vision and created the township of Livonia in 1835.

No, just talked about taking former classrooms that were storage, and remodel them and turn them into several classrooms.....cost: $550,000.....maybe less, maybe more...

I thought they were going to talk about new construction at Cooper as well.

they did, they are, and there are asbestos abatement issues that they have to deal with now for that new construction. Besides burning every dollar there is in the budget and all funding sources, there are still environmental issues everywhere they turn that can run up additional astronomical costs.

How are they going to keep our children safe? Did they talk about that at all?

Don't the upgrades to all the buildings and those type of expenses come out of the sinking fund and not the "rainy" day fund or the operating budget?
