Ever wonder exactly what someone said at one of these meetings, but don't know anyone who taped it? Well, if your interested (and have an extra $20) you can order one from the district. Call Ken McMullen at 734-744-2500 ext 42142. Takes a couple of days and $20, but its a great way to show people exactly what we are up against. Sure wish I could remember the meeting date that Lessard told us all that it was illegal for him to answer questions. |

I am curious about last Monday's meeting and what the judge said in court on Friday about seeing the BOE meetings. Do you think the judge was given a copy of Monday's meeting for his review? They seemed so much different to me. All of a sudden they've taken a different attitude. Mrs. Scheel thanking the opposers? Any other observations? |

I never heard anything like that before. Let's take him the one where he fell apart! |

I believe it was during the question answer session with the "demographic comittee" Onquist was at that one I think. I will look up the dates for ya.

I believe that would be the Nov. 14th meeting w/the Demolition Committee! If not, one week either way! |

Wasn't it quoted in the Livonia Observer after the Churchill meeting? |

It was not at the Churchill meeting. It was in the BOE office for sure. I can picture him saying it there... |

It was one of those "committee of the whole" meetings where they sit at tables formed into a square. Some time in November I think. |

It was at a "comittee of the whole" meeting, where Andrea Ohquist, and 2 other reps from the Demo. Comm. showed up to answer the tough questions the board put to them. Lessard said it was illegal in response to Salem asking why none of our questions haven't been answered. |

I am presuming that due to the nature of those broadcasts, and the fact that they're put out on the public access channel, that they are considered to be in the public domain and not protected by any copyright, etc. If so, I would think the DVD's could be converted to Windows Media format and put on a web site. Does anybody know? I have actually been planning on doing that anyway, as I've been considering creating my own site to document my journey through this process of trying to discern the facts and make some conclusions. (If I did that would anybody be willing to help out with some of the $20 charges? It would be a bargain in the long run since for one $20 charge everyone on the planet would then be able to watch the video.) Full disclosure - I should point out that at this point I don't consider myself a CFLF supporter per se. I am honestly and sincerely trying to remain stubbornly neutral in the sense of not endorsing one position or the other or officially joining either side. My purpose would be to provide the neutral evidence (the recordings of the meetings for whatever they are as they took place) and explain the observations I've personally made through thoughtful consideration. |

Oh, by the way, this is Dan Billingsley for those that know me or have seen me at the BOE meetings. |

And speaking of getting prior tapes.... I was told some time ago that at one of these meetings there was some comment made by someone about "trailer trash". I think referring to our neighboring communities to the East, or maybe even about those of us in the deep south of the district. Does anyone remember that? If it actually happened, I have thought it would be interesting to compare Lessard's response to such a statement to his rant a few weeks back about potential conflict of interest on the part of one his fellow board members in regards to real estate dealings. I would personally be 100 times more offended and "incensed" over the former and probably would have lost it myself in that case. |
