Please contact your liaison, or lpsproposalsrbad@sbcglobal.net or sparty1991@sbcglobal.net, for more information. Everyone must remember this is NOT done yet. We still need everyone to volunteer a few hours or as much as you can EVERY week until we reach our goal. Please contact lpsproposalsrbad@sbcglobal.net or sparty1991@sbcglobal.net, if you can volunteer to help out. Also, you should be contacting your liaison, or lpsproposalsrbad@sbcglobal.net or sparty1991@sbcglobal.net, by the end of the weekend to turn in any petitions that have 5 or more signatures on them. You will be provided with new sheets and any other supplies you would like. We would like to get another update on our count. I can't wait to hear on Monday! Thank you everyone for your hardwork. Keep getting those petitions filled!

He was on the sidewalk and she tried to insist that he move into the parking lot. She walked away angry, saying that she was going to call the police. My 6 year old daughter and I were leaving ballet class and came upon this scene as I was just going to stop and say hello. Just as a reminder, we are allowed to be within 100 feet. Derek was clearly more than 100 feet from the building. The protesting grass-roots group is trying to halt the Legacy Initiative, the school district's re-organization plan to close seven schools, restructure elementary school buildings and trim about $1.5 million a year in expenses. Group members hope to collect 11,000 signatures for each of the five school board members to force an August recall election. City attorney Sean Kavanagh said any group has a right to seek signatures and hand out literature on city property as long as they are at least 100 feet away from the door. He said this is permitted according to the state's election laws. "There is no city ordinance against collecting petition signatures on city property," Kavanagh said. "On Election Day, candidates can hand out literature as long as they are 100 feet away from a polling location." I don't know if the manager called at the prompting of the woman referenced above. It would help greatly if the people at the center obtaining signtures had a copy of the article in which the city attorney is quoted as saying we can be within 100 feet. This would clear up any confusion ASAP for responding officers as many are under the impression normal strikers rules apply in this instance. That would require us to be on the sidewalk if the management insisted upon it. Hopefully many signitures were collected today. I turned in about 20 that I had from earlier this week.

So let me get this straight--you were on the fence about how you felt about the LI, whether you were for it or against it. You have viewed both forums and done your own research and are trying to make an educated decision, right? But because someone on this forum makes a comment that you don't like, you decide to be an LI supporter?? Do you realize how ridiculous your post is?? You didn't decide based on what was best for you kids or how you felt, you based it on some anonymous person hurting your feelings!! Why do people make threats about "going to the other side" when someone posts something they don't like?!?!
