How about if we send all of our children to school on Friday wearing RED also?

I would hope that people would not involve their children by having them wear red to school. Just my opinion! I think it's great that so many adults are involved on this from either view but I don't think the children need to be put on display because of our opinions. I am being sincere about this. Many other posts here have agreed that it is not a good idea to do these types of things with the children.

Its a personal choice. I would not intentionally do it either. I leave my kids out of it as much as I can ( with no help from LPS).

I typically pick out the clothes my kids wear the night before. They both have red tops in their wardrobe and I could easily have them wear red tomorrow. They would not even need to be aware of the reason. My husband wears red on most Fridays as some sort of support for his union. If they have no idea that there is anything special about them wearing red, how does that put them in the middle? Do you think someone would comment to them (positive or negative) about their red shirts?

I agree it is a personal choice. I just wouldn't want to take a chance that someone might say something. I don't think that staff would but there are many parents unlike us who are not choosing to keep their kids out of this. I think it would be confusing for your children if someone did make a comment.

It would be very rude and totally out of place for any adult to make any comment to a child by assuming that a child who may have arbitrarily chosen to wear red themselves that day is actually a LI opposer.

I'm sorry, I wasn't implying that it would be adults. If there are other children that know about this and why they are wearing red they may say something. I agree that it would be wrong for an adult to say something and I don't think that would happen. I was really just referring to other kids. I know my post may have not been clear on that but that is what I meant. We all know that kids LOVE to talk!

The fact is LPS see's fit to involved our kids in this EVERYDAY ! My 10 year only learn about this at the school. So mom did have to explain to him what was going on and he has been reading about this whole thing.

This is why I did not allow the pen-pal thing or any of the rest of the mind games they wish to play. My son does not want the LI and I know some might think it's wrong that he can say this or they wish to blame me ,but the real truth is the BOE and LPS are to blame they ARE THE ONE'S who have involved the kids.

One more thing why is it alright if someone writes my kid can't wait to get in there new school but not alright when a different kid like mine does not like this LI thing at all ????? and yes he will wear RED.

Actually, my kids pick their own clothes the night before or in the morning. If they wear red tomorrow, that will be their chioce. I will not try to explain to them why they cannot wear red :o

I have enought to worry about just trying to get my 2nd grader to eat something other than a Pop-Tart for breakfast    Darn those nasty breakfast pastries!!! And I use that term loosely :P

I prefer Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon. My husband hides them from the kids. Nothing like a whole lotta sugar to get you going in the morning!
