I was wodering if anyone could answer this question for me? Why is so much therapy being offered to students and parents if the LI is so good. I have seen it many times in the transition news. |

We have just begun to fight!

Obviously it is because they see the need to offer this. It may also be a CYA move. It is surely to treat those who are suffering from shock!

I was wondering the same thing. The Demo com. tried to downplay "transitions" in their presentation. Now, it makes you wonder if the multiple transitions are more detrimental (sp) than they first said. I agree with Grant1--it is a CYA tactic on their behalf. Every piece of transition info that comes home has unending lists of the negative effects..........
---They still have yet to address what they will do if a child shows signs of these effects--I wonder if they will really be able to notice in a school of 900 children

Oh they will find a way to blame the "parents ". If you would have supported the plan it would have helped your child. They will not not take any blame for hurting our kids. Think about this look at how much money they could save if they would just stop this madness. If they feel that they need all this help to get the kids thru this why are they doing it ????? The truth is they don't care about our kids ! We need to get those looney tunes out of there. |

Gosh, I have been thinking the same thing, and I am sure a lot of other parents feel the same way. Good Point! |

Why weren't all of the school therapists and social workers consulted BEFORE they decided to vote on the LI? Oh, I forgot, the BOE only listens to "like minded" people. Outside anything, including opinions aren't too welcomed! |

Stress is real, and it's nasty. The less we subject our kids to it, the better they will be, and the better they will learn. |
