It will be voted on. Too bad the citizens have to force the vote. It is too bad we have to force a vote. Only if the District and the B.O.E. would open up a bit. I keep hoping for a glimmer of hope! I think they are waiting to see what's going to happen on Friday before the even consider opening up the lines of communication. Just my thoughts! Speaking of a glimmer of hope....does anyone know whether any board members stopped to speak with Steve Futrell after the board meeting last night?

Principal Posts: 4,311 Group: Members Member #103 Joined: November 9, 2005	I think Momofone is right. That is unlikely to happen until after Friday. If we get the injunction, my feeling is that there will be no choice left for them but to start talking about compromise.

I asked Randy Liepa to please go and talk to Steve Futrell last night and he said that he had already talked to him on many occasions. I pleaded with him to please not let this go to court and to work together. I don't think it did any good.

I too had heard that Mr. Futrell has met with Dr. Liepa on more than one occassion. Is there a way for Mr. Futrell to share his discussions with others that oppose? THis might clear some things up- at least on the issue of whether admin has sat down with him. I would believe Dr. Liepa if he made this statement to you, but if you are not confident with his statement, Mr. Futrell would be the best person to clear things up.

I wasn't implying that because I don't know. I'm sorry if it came across that way. I would believe Steve Futrell if he said that they didn't meet because he has nothing to gain--if I had to choose. Steve isn't the type of person that would make me choose though. Unfortunately, the writing is on the wall and it is just the beginning of a messy situation that I wish would end. I want so much for this to be worked out before we go to court.

He just said something to the effect of, "Can't we sit down and talk about it after the meeting tonight?" My assumption would be that they have spoken, but they have not come to any "meeting of the minds" so to speak, but I really don't know...
