I agree everyone has a right to seek out petition signers, but that right ends at someone else's nose.  The parking lot is private property and the landlord has every right to do what did.

In this day and age, I sure wouldn't want ANYONE approaching me in any parking lot, from a pure safety issue alone.  I can't believe that anyone in this day and age can consider it safe to approach strangers in a parking lot in the first place!  I'd see that as harrassment and I sure would complain to management of the nearby store in a heartbeat!

I feel sorry that there was an implication that BUSCHS was to blame here.  That store has done a lot for this district and it bothers me that the manager was placed in the middle of it!

The LI Supporters put the manager in the middle by complaining. I would be upset with them too... We finally agree about something. :)

I don't care WHO is collecting signatures in ANY parking lot. They don't belong there. If ANYONE approaches me in a parking lot in ANY location, I will report it to a manager. Like I said, everyone's rights END at my nose.

Wow...you sure sound bitter for more reasons than just disagreeing with those who are taking a stand and doing what they beleive is right, and is also thier right as a citizen of a free country. I feel sorry for whatever may have caused you to develop such animosity towards your fellow man/woman. It does not sound healthy to remain in such a state all of the time.

Sorry it's NOT bitterness. To me it's a safety issue. pure and simple. No matter WHO it was for whatever reason. I think it's not a safe place for EITHER the petiononer or the signer. Nothing MORE.

Now you sound a bit paranoid...I am sorry you have lost the trust in your fellow man/woman. We would all learn to live much better lives when we learn to trust.

Due to the LI I have lost some trust in certain individuals, but never with just anyone and everyone.

Name calling. Nice...

Sorry, but I have decided to not visit this forum any more. I thought this was a place to exchange ideas and thoughts, but it's a place where name calling is tolerated. I came to this forum with an open mind, and I have made my decision

Good luck

It was not meant to be name calling, but rather an identification of a state of mind. Sorry you misinterpreted my genuine concern for how I feel we must all treat each other. I am also sorry that because you may feel the way you do you have automatically assumed it was something detrimental to your character. My apologies and best of luck to you.

I am so sorry I did not realize that 6 Mile and Newburgh is a hot bed of crime. We all must be very aware of anyone with petitions and pamphlets in their hands standing by cars with big RECALL the LIVOIA SCHOOL BOARD on them in the parking lots. You never know they could ask you to SIGN something.
Scary isnt it? Of course you could fight them off by saying no.
But its more fun doing it your way.
Ok Im being sarcastic, this is just getting so ridiculous.
anothervoice, anothermom, maybe you should go to another place
just friendly advice said with a smile :D

The only problem I have with petitioners are they're the same people asking me to sign.

I was at 3 childrens functions this weekend, and we had several people collecting signatures. Sitting back and watching these parents made me feel sorry for their children. They were not even concerned with what their child was doing. All they cared about was getting signatures, and talking between eachother about the recall.

You all claim that your children are not involved, well this past weekend proved differently. Spend time with your child (children) the signatures will come to you if you want it that bad. Or save it for another time.

I also saw a parent collecting signatures on 96. She had her two year old waving down cars in the divider while she smoked Camels and drank Red Bull on the embankment....... ;)

Thank you !!!! It's comments like this that make someone like myself who is torn between this whole LI and the recall. Everything is sarcastic here.

I just logged on an it has taken me over a week to read everything that has been going on since the beginning.

I still will stay very open to both sides, but I just can't make that decision right now. Comments like that are not helping your cause.

Sorry about that, but for those of us who have been in Churchill Auditorium until 1AM, at BOE meetings either speaking or watching the lack of response by our elected officials, sending e-mails and asking questions and getting the runaround and non-answers, all for months on end, some see humor is the best medicine to get through this ordeal. It hasn't been easy, nor pleasant at times, and it sure has been many looooong hours and late nights coordinating efforts, so if somebody offends you with something like that post, just remember, it may be helping others.
