We have found that if you always have a petition with you when you go somewhere... you can almost always find someone to sign it... One voter at a time the movement builds...

I like your attitude Derek. I'm glad you've join our forum!

24 signatures in 1 hour !!!

That's right, only one hour to get 2 sets of petitions filled at Krogers on Five Mile. I set up a card table with a yard sign taped to the front of it and I had determined people making their way over consistently.

Most were willing to sign or had alreay signed somewhere... Some stated there were from Redford but would have signed if they could as they have read all about what we are going through... Hit the store sand just ask, the signatures come easy!

Anyone else got some good time records for a certain amount of signatures?

Great! Blows holes in the idea that most Livonians support the LI, doesn't it?

Kroger at 8 mile and Farmington would be good too. A lot of Taylor, Tyler, and Cass families shop there.

It was pretty cool. I ran into a mom in our neighborhood that was getting signatures and she got 5 PAGES FULL! She said the response was remarkable. She never posts on this site, so she said that she didn't mind if I let everyone know in order to encourage them.

I experienced something very interesting the other day!!! A supporter of the LI told me she signed the petition!!! I was shocked and asked her why. She explained that while she likes the LI, she is very disappointed with the BOE!! She thinks they have handled everything wrong and continue to get worse. After watching the BOE meeting last week, she signed it!!! I just started laughing and said I see your point in one respect. So don't think all supporters of the LI won't sign. She just really is embarassed by the BOE and thinks they are cocky and way to confident. I'm sure most supporters will not sign, but one never knows!! :)
