From what I remember from about 3 years ago, being there for jury duty, there is NO free parking. Can anyone verify?

No Posted Image

And for the defendants

Anyone planning to attend the hearing on March 10, be advised, Fridays are "motion" days @ circuit court. There is no rhyme or reason as to how, or when they're called. Plus, the courtroom will be filled with other individuals who also have hearings scheduled that morning. Just a FYI for those of you/us who think we might zip right in & out. ;)

I read the complaint today TWICE! It is so well done. It reminds me what we are fighting for and how far we have come. So many people have spent so many hours on this. I am so impressed.

If you plan on attending, leave your cell phone at home or in the car. I had to walk all the way back to my car because I had mine with me....This was a while ago, you might want to check.

Also no lighters, matches, markers, perfume, makeup, mirrors, absolutely no cell phones, not even if they are turned off! Just had jury duty in January.

Free parking at the Casino, got to use your card in one of those machines that make the ding $ ding $ ding $ noise...could be a little costly though....

question: Is someone collecting letters from people for this court hearing?

Remember Mayer Morganroth said that it would be beneficial to have a huge pile of letters from people that could not attend the hearing that respectfully wished to make their opinions be known of their opposition to these changes.

We need to start writing letters and mail them to????

To the Judge? Can someone find out for us so we can start working on this. If we put them in the mail tomorrow, the judge would have them by Friday I would think. We should have our kids write letter also. They are really the ones taking the hit on this deal.

Is that the way to go? Or were we supposed to type letters to say one group person and bring a stack for Mr. Morganroth to hold up?

Either way we need to get going on this and also the petitions should be brought to hold up as an example of the tremendous opposition to this as well.

Steve, Jodi? Which way to proceed with this?

I think Mr. Morganroth said that we couldn't mail the letters directly to the judge. We'd have to have someone collect them and then bring them to the hearing.

You're correct. Mr. Morganroth said not to mail letters to the Judge, the Judge is not permitted to read them.

Why would anyone put children in the middle of this? Please tell me we are not going to start seeing children at school wearing Pro or Anti LI pins on their jackets?! I was reading today statements from some parents preferring K-6 to keep their children "little" for as long as possible, rather than putting 5/6 together which was being perceived as "making them grow up too fast". I have been bashed by forum members who were offended by suggestions that they were projecting their fears and stress onto their children. Using children in this way is just a bad idea.

I'm sure the anothermom bashing will begin within seconds of this being posted. I would just ask people to stop and think for a minute about my concerns before having a knee-jerk reaction. Must our kids "take sides" too?
