That is a great idea !!!! There are many avenues we can explore, and with the people we have on board now I think it would be a hit. I do not think you would have much trouble getting volunteers. Something to consider.... |

Bowling...awesome...I would love that one. Ya know at our old school we had the PTO have school fundraisers at the bowling alley. It was parents night out. So parents would pay like 40 bucks a couple...and have a night of glow and bowl. We had raffles which raised money....it was an awesome time to meet other parents, raise alot of money and have a great night out of fun! |

Texas Hold-em Tournaments seem to be a big hit right now. We are in the process of doing that for our school. I will let you know how it turns out. |

Let's do all of them and then people can choose which one they wish to attend. Please report back on the findings of all your great fundraiser ideas so other schools will be informed also. |

Could someone post what are legal and not legal fundraisers as well as those that can be done but have to be reported for taxes, etc... This would help us all in determining how far we can go. Thanks |

I don't believe any fund raiser would be tax deductible since Citizens for Livonia's Future is not set up as a non profit organization. The website indicates that all donations are not tax deductible. Does not mean that a fund raiser cannot be put together...........people just have to realize that they cannot deduct any donation from their tax returns. Correct me if I am wrong on this one......... |

You are correct, but my question was one of this type of scenario. Bake sale - are we required to report profits? raffle - do donated prizes/awards have to be reported in some way? |

Try selling buttons, T-shirts, etc. with a pro recall message. That way, you get the money, and spread the message at the same time. |
