Cindi... Go to google and type the word..Avatar. It will bring you up some website where you can download and save some. Sorry about the Gollum thing...it is just how I feel about the LI! P.S. I think yahoo! has one too. You can also type Avatar on their search engine. |

Hi everyone. I just registered for the forum and wanted to say how great it is to see so how concerned so many of us parents are about our kids and the education they receive. I can see the people on this forum seem to be making friends through the frustration. I attended this LI configuration when I was going through school and I, nor anyone I knew, ever had a complaint about it. We all received great educations and most went off to high school and have had great careers. The first negative I ever heard with this configuration was recently by other parents when Livonia schools suggested the plan. I work with and support any parent group when our kids education is at stake. However, in this case I think the eventual alternatives to this plan would be much worse and to fight the very people trying to help our kids, is probably going to do more harm than good. I here a lot of talking about moving to other districts or going to charter schools, but the grass is always going to appear greener. I really do appreciate and support the zeal of the people leading the arguments and the recalls. But if all this energy could be focused in helping the district, and our kids, through this transition, then maybe...just maybe...it may not be so bad after all. Thanks for listening. : |

I'm not sure what you mean by "I attended this LI configuration when I was going through school..." Can you explain what you mean by that? I'm guessing you came from somewhere that had 5/6 schools? Tell us about it... |

That's right. It was a K-4 Elem, 5-6 MS, 7-8 Jr. High and 9-12 high school. It was great, actually. We stayed with the same kids throughout the years and every few years you got to be the oldest! We really did love it (at the time I didn't know of any other configuration). |
