Depending upon the type of organization that is formed... a non-profit or PAC. Once the legal advise is given then the proper paperwork can be filed.

Any individual can apply for a licence for resale through the State of Michigan. You must pay sales tax on any items you are selling for a profit (unless it is food). It's easy enough to submit sales tax to the state.

Well, we could sell pies, with a decal cleverly tucked under the bottom crust.

Bye bye sales tax. :D

Do you prepare income tax returns, and are you for hire? My old tax guy moved out of state. He was a creative thinker like you.

Although I am against LI, I no longer see the point of keeping up a sign.  I just took mine down.  The BOE made their vote.  They didn't listen to us before, so I doubt they will listen to us now that they have passed it.  There is but one solution.  That is the recall and voting in a BOE which holds itself accountable to the public.

I have to add my sign story here...I had my sign up, proudly displayed even after the BOE and their vote.

Until our neighbor's real estate agent stopped me a couple of weeks ago as I was unloading groceries. He was very cordial to me, introducing himself and yada, yada, yada....oh and by the way, could we take down the sign in our front yard expressing our displeasure with the LPS proposal? He felt that our sign would negatively impact his sale of our neighbor's house.

We are very close with our neighbors and they had no idea he was going to ask us to take it down....

Funny how this whole thing is trickling its tentacles everywhere, all over town the Legacy Initiative is metastasizing like a cancer....

:(

I still have my sign up too. Though I had to track it down several times after the windy days we had a while back. I have had a vision of planting it on the front lawn of the BOE offices recently, just for fun. Can you imagine someone from the administation scrambling out there to yank that baby out? Dr. Liepa in his nice suit perhaps. Though Im sure he would send someone from the board to do it for him. Can't get his hands dirty. Makes me smile just thinking about it.

There is only one lonely sign of the many I purchased left. The wind carried away most of them from my neigbors and family members homes.

Our's is still "proudly" displayed out in front. Never had a wind issue... must be the Recall Angels looking after us.
