Do we still attend board meetings. Silent objections, how about carrying our lawn signs, the 5/6 no t-shirts,,,any idea's. I like the idea of being a consistent nuisance. |

I agree, attend every board meeting. Continue to comment, question, make suggestions based on what has been brought up here (and elsewhere) and make sure everyone in the LPS community knows the issues being raised and the districts/BOE's response to them. If more of the community could see the thought and the work that has been done here they would be amazed. There is so much that has been discussed here that needs to make it to the district level. The administration should be continually challenged by it's stakeholders, it's consumers to do a better job, a more creative and innovative job. That is why it would be helpful to form a PAC or non profit as a method of organizing and disseminating information. The district should come to understand that it will always have a very well organized group looking over its shoulder. |

I agree..continue to attend board meetings, there is always a public comment period for every board meeting and it doesn't have to do with anything on the agenda. Everyone should continue to let the BOE know we disagree with the LI. |

I think continuing to attend board meetings for the next several sessions is crucial. There will be more information coming out about the one-time costs to implement K-4, and it sounds like it will be a lot more than any savings genereated by this plan. This may help turn some heads on the board, it's a fact they can't ignore. This is really not a done deal yet . . . |

I think it is important for us to continue to show our presence, as I am sure there will continue to be a parade of BOE supporters telling them what a great job they are doing and how well mannered they all have been in the face of the unruly parents who are against the wonderful legacy proposal. The BOE needs to see OUR faces in front of them and hear OUR continued message that this proposal needs to be tabled and the reasons behind it. Members of the board are continually saying the community needs to work togeather, which I find quite funny since they are the ones who have no idea what working with the community means. Havent since day one of this Legacy Initiative. If they want us to work togeather, then table this proposal and WORK WITH THE COMMUNITY! There are plenty of us willing and able to do just that. Stephanie from the Observer will be covering every meeting. Lets give her plenty to write about. Plus she enjoys our company. |
