ADAMS ELEMENTARY (on Lyndon betw. Middlebelt/Inkster) 50 years old. In great shape. What will happen to the acres where Adams now sits? * Is it being surveyed for new homes/condos? (There is construction now on $300,000+ homes just across Lyndon on Harrison in CB Swim Club's backyard.) * Will it become a school for troubled Redford children? A "last chance" lockdown sort of place? * Will it become a new home for Jackson Center? That's the word on the street. What do you hear? Anna Krome |

I say either real estate or new site for Jackson. I can't see the city putting troubled youth there. Several years ago the property on 7 and Farmington (old Ardmore site) was possibly going to be a buidling for troubled teens and the neighboring families shot that one down pretty quick. |

Remember, our current BOE is bullet proof! The whole city has tried to shoot down the LI! Now citizens have to resort to recall efforts and an injunction! I wouldn't put ANYTHING past them! |

I don't agree that "whole city has tried to shoot down the" Legacy Initiative. There are still some of us who support it. Read the minutes of the November 21 meeting. There is at least one person in the minutes who supported the 5-6 plan. However, your mostly partisan forum seems to have warped your interpretation of reality. |

Hi xyz-321, Thanks for posting. Do you know of any land uses for the closed schools? I did not understand your last post to the land uses topic? Since you like LI, why not post why you like it in a new topic? That could be a very positive string for us to learn your feelings on LI. Sincerely, Anna Krome |

So there was "one" person in the minutes that supported "the plan"? Yippee!!!! Let's have a party!!!! How many people are in the minutes that do not support the LI? I wonder...... |

Anna, I have a suggestion, maybe this person could start their own forum? I just don't think the support is our there. Why start a forum, if nobody is going to participate. I think this is a great forum and even a supporter of this plan just can't get enough. We must be doing a good job! |

When Livonians come and read this forum, I would like to provide a different view of the Legacy Initiative. Isn't it better for a nonpartisan observer to have both sides represented when they make their decision? Well... I suppose it depends as to what side you are on. |

Anna, you write some great letters. Ever think of being on the BOE or are they afraid of someone so intelligent who knows what they are talking about? I'm glad we are on the same side, I would not want to have to debate with you. |

XYZ, I don't know who hired you, but I think you are not accomplishing the task very well. Isn't this overtime for you? |

fyi, what do your kids do when they are on winter break? I bet they play with their friends, so do mine. To have nobody to hang out with is so sad. |

Well, let me think about that one. They fight a lot. My 5 year old threw up this morning. Not sure if it was all the running or too much junk to eat. Just everyday life around here. |

And you crack me up too. This LI can be so distressing at times, I need to add a little humor. Just like the 5/6 graders need a second recess, not structured time. Laughter and good friends are the best medicine. |
