I was just wondering how many Taylor parents will be pulling their kids out of LPS? There is talk on here...of how many parents are pulling their children out of LPS and wondered if any Taylor parents are doing the same? |

My kids go to Hoover and I am very happy with the school. We have alot of wonderful teachers and I have heard the same of the Taylor teachers. Combined I think the school will be great. |

Altho I'm very unhappy that Taylor is closing, I'm sending my kids to Hoover. I have never had any problems with Hoover as far as being a good school--it's just not as convenient to run up for lunches and I know that traffic is going to be a nightmare. I hope they figure something out there! |

I also have no problems sending my child to Hoover.....I hear its a very good school. That is not the issue for us. I do not like the 5/6 school idea. We are looking into private school. We were thinking of sending her to Hoover for a year..but it would be better if we just sent her to private school..only 1 change in the next 7 years. Sad really...what does everyone think of Mrs. Oquist's involvement? I really wish she would have stuck up for her students. |

We will have to see where she is next year, and then everything should fall in to place regarding her involvement. I hope this forum keeps going. It will be very beneficial for us parents and community members to keep in touch. We need to know what is going on in the district.....good or bad. Let's let the BOE know we will be keeping a very close eye on them. We want to know what is going on in our school and in all schools. The more eyes we have, the better! |

Hard to imagine I use to spend my Monday evenings quietly at home in my pjs. I never cared when The Observer was delivered, no news in there I would absolutley need to read. Ah those where the days. The days when I trusted that my school board would make the right decisions. Reality sure smacked me in the face. |
