Don't give up. Hmmm. Reckless endangerment? Capricious, arbitrary and unreasonable behaviour? Anna Krome |

Here is my question to Tab: Tab, I agree with all of you and TAB you know it. All the LPS has to do is show us papers that prove that the Cooper School is safe. They should have records of things. Like making sure that the duct's in the new school were checked after the old school was demolished (ie: making sure airborne particles didn't get into that system). Also that the air quality was checked inside the new school after the demolishan of a school that was on a hazardous waste site. Please tell me that the LPS did do what the Michigan Department of Education states in there rules that The Children need to be in a safe environment. How do us as parents know that it is safe unless you can show us the proof. I don't think we are asking a lot for documentation on that site being safe. All of us need to stand up and say I WANT PROOF. |

The problem is...they can't give us proof. This is what scares me. |

They can give us proof, they just don't want to. |

I'd really like him to investigate Cooper, he's like a bulldog on a bone. |

I am pleading with all to contact the media and write letters to the BOE regarding Cooper. This property should not be kept open especially when LPS has another school (Dickinson) that our children could attend. Keeping it open when there are too many unknowns is not worth it. It's not like we are asking LPS to spend millions of dollars to build a new school...we have one sitting empty that could be used and parents could have their minds at ease not worring if our children are in a safe environment. |

I know this is why they did not pick Dickinson over Cooper. That is why I am asking (pleading) with everyone to contact the media. They are putting our children last when it is their duty to put our children first. The BOE knows they can not sell Cooper for as much (obviously) as they can Dickinson...this sickens me. We need to continue to put preasure on them regarding this issue. |

Read on from this string on "TAB... " on Cooper. http://s14.invisionfree.com/Hull_Neighbors...topic=466&st=15 grantmom Tom, I am still awaiting a reply as to the safety of Cooper. This is a real concern for many and we do not seem to get any answers. Can you as a Board Member honestly say that you are comfortable with the Cooper/Whittier site? It just seems to make more sense to close Cooper rather than risk any ill effects this site may have on our children or their children. Dickinson just seems to make the most logical sense. It is more centrally (not sure if I spelled right) and poses no health risks to our children. Yes I've heard it will cost $600,000 to get Cooper ready and $800,000 to get Dickinson ready but when it all boils down to it is $200,000 too much to ask to keep our children safe? Please give me your feedback on this issue. |

I have said time and time again. They are afraid of what they will find. If they were so secure about sending our kids their, this question would have been answered a long time ago. BOE has gotten itself into a real mess. |
