This is one of the reasons I don't like protoss. They think mass carriers will lead them to victory cause the massive interceptors, their individual plasma shield and the fact that all this can be cloaked with an Arbiter. But I'm prepared for you.

I use my loved defilers with both "dark swarm" (to protect my hydralisks from interceptor attacks) and "plague" (to see you cause you're cloaked and to lower your hull till youre left with just plasma shield)

But its true, that would happend on a late game (1 hour or so). So that must be stopped even before you get a chance to make carriers. As Zerg it's very simple to expand to other bases cause the lower costs of buildings, so I would try to reduce your expantion options and build right next to you.

On college we use to do many crazy stuff like building a hatchery on the entrance of your base and plague the place with sunken and spore colonies.

(gawd I love the zerg!)

I used Zerg a lot before Brood War came out. After that, I preferred Protoss. Protoss got more out of the expansion than any other race: Dark Templars, Dark Archons, and Arbiters.

With enough upgrades, Dark Templars can 1-hit KO Marines, SCV/Drone/Probes, and 2-hit pretty much any other basic melee unit. Combine that with infinite cloak, it makes one of the best hit+run units in the game.

Dark Archons were one of my favorite new units due to Mind Control. Just pick up a Drone or SCV and you've got yourself a whole new 200 unit limit to play with.

Arbiters were probably the most overpowered of the three. Just rush in, recall, and you've got yourself a whole army wailing on the enemy under the protection of cloak.

Though I admit, my preferred method of taking out someone's base has always been a group of 12 Guardians.

I like to drop off zerglings / hydras / lurkers (hell... drones too if im short) with overlords on the minerals of the other bases, cause minerals are one of the most common defensive flaws of many players.
This is a cheap way of make the player surrender... or at least to piss them off (which I deeply enjoy)

Another way is to rush into a protoss base. Heck, the guy usually haves 1 or 2 zealots ready awaiting for my zerglings, but I just leave 4 to entertain them, and the other 2 (or 4 if im lucky) to get the poor little unprotected probes. (once again, minerals are a common deffensive flaw).

Well, I just gave up like some of my best cards... hope I don't get smashed when we get to play together.

I love Protoss for the same reasons I love my Super Novice, they have alot of tricks.

Cannon Push the same way you would Sunken Colony push outside their base (I did this at BlizzCon when I tried out SC2), Arbiter Stasis Field and Recall, Templar Psionic Storm, Dark Archon Mind Control etc. The mass carriers was a noob joke. Mass Scouts = Dead Carriers. Too bad there are no Reavers in SC2. /sob
