Hello everybody, i use the i Finder expedition C to find fishing hot spots, i use the external power cable with a battery 12 V 100 AH, to power on the i finder there must be 2 batteries in the ifinder, after 3 to 4 hours the ifinder turn off due to the fact the 2 batteries in the infinder are empty although the external power <_< does anybody know about this phanomen? thx |

Sounds to me like you are not actually running on external power. If you have it plugged in and checked the sats page it should say external power. If it shows E with a green line to F with new batteries then you are running on batteries. Check the connection to make sure it is snug and proper. Also check the fuse in the power supply, it may a popped and need to be replaced. Screw off the silver tip to check. Also the end that plugs into the GPS should have two small prongs as connectors. Make sure one isn't bent. |

I too had that same problem on vacation. I know I have a connection problem at the GPS itself. I have to wiggle a lot. But even when it states "Using External Power" I had a drain on the batteries and then it shut down. Never had this problem before so I'm open to suggestions too. |
