My PC has a MMC/SD slot it must be the SD card reader I wouldn't need the card reader from lowrance right and is it better to make your map cards than buying the already made cards? |

You would not need a Lowrance reader for transferring data files to/ from the card. Such as if you only want to get your waypoints and look at them in a mapping program. If you have MapCreate to make your maps, you must use the SD card reader from Lowrance. The program is designed not to make maps for any other card reader. As for buying pre-Loaded maps or MapCreate, Mapcreate is the cheaper way to go. The program itself costs as much as a pre-loaded card. |
