I read on the Goundspeak forum about a method to create maps that are not locked to a specific SD card using MapCreate 6.3. I followed those instructions, copied the .AT5 file to the SD card in my iFinder, but still can not view the detailed map data from the .AT5 file. Has anyone here followed the procedure described on the Groundspeak forum with success? If so then what model iFinder are you using and what version firmware is it running? Here's a link to the Groundspeak topic - http://forums.groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=115044 Thanks. |

I'm using an H2Oc which runs different firmware than the H2O. The firmware on my H2Oc is currently version 1.1.0 released 3/20/06. Last night I copied the .AT5 file to an unregistered SD card. The H2Oc will still not read the detailed map data. |

Hunt or HuntC ? I wonder if it has something to do with the color version firmware. I followed the directions for creating the .AT5 file to the letter. Copied the .AT5 file to both registered and unregistered SD cards with no luck. I'm assuming that everyone is using SD and not MMC cards, correct? I love this unit and am prepping for a 4-6 week motorcycle trip this spring. I want to load detailed map data for the areas I'll be riding in and I can't fit all the data on the two cards I've registered plus 3 more 1GB cards. I don't have room to carry a laptop. If I can make this .AT5 file thing work then my problem is solved. |

The first time I tried the AT5 file to the unlocked card my map did not work ... I found I did not let the file completely load on the SD card even though windows said it was done the file was still loading. Other then that the method worked great. Mike |
