These groups have been alluded to in the past, but there are two active Yahoo groups related to Lowrance (that I've found) and nobody has posted the links yet. Of course, you need a Yahoo ID to join. One is the iFinder group, for discussing all sorts of issues related to iFinders here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ifinder_gps/ The other is the MapCreate group, which is not really related to MapCreate, but is related to development of a particular program to create your own maps for the Lowrance receivers and related topics: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/mapcreate_format/ I'm not submitting these as competition for this website. If it's viewed that way, the moderator is certainly welcome to delete the post. Personally, I much prefer the type of forum format that exists here and intend to make this my Lowrance home, but the iFinder group has lots of good historical information, and the MapCreate group has somewhat of a different mission. Plus, maybe someone here will go over to MapCreate, figure out an easy way to create maps, and post a detailed how-to guide here so I can sit on my lazy butt and use the guide rather than figure it out for myself. |

I started looking at the MapEdit program and procedures...definitely a steep learning curve. Ahh... pass me the "Quick Start" guide and a beer please. Z |

Well, it's Friday night and I got the beer part. FINALLY, I got the rest of the evening to myself, so I'm going to play with this. Maybe got a "shortcut" using OziEplorer, but we'll see . . . Guess I should get off this board and get to work. |

I do to, seen that photo and thought it was cool. I found it looking for a photo to post for a discussion on what was the best cache-mobile. Check out this website, on the search field, select to view all aircraft, and find the Eurocopter AS 350 series. http://www.flightlevel350.com/ |
