Well I just got done watching this one and it was a bit bizarre, and is probably the weirdest episode in the series so far next to Gorilla.
Spoiler: click to toggle

This episode... it was just too weird. xD It gets a 6/10 and I guess Beast Boy calls all chicks Momma now too. o_o

I haven't seen it, but I'm thinking this may be close to the level of "Waffles"...

I wouldn't say Gorilla was weird, or I wish that was the episode's problem -- since the writers had to make BB a total asshat, for whatever reason.

I guess the "Mama" thing is a Cipes thing. Because, I can't quite see Beast Boy in any other version do that. Then again, GO!BB does seem to have more confidence than his other counterparts, but that might be he's too lazy to worry about being semi-neurotic or insecure like the others.

So, that's why Breakfast and Cheese has its title? Facepalm. Why not "Ham and Cheese," instead, if we're being all random -- which is basically what this series really is?

Having seen the episode finally, yeah, I'll confirm about the weirdness that Ravenfreak elaborated on. I was fine with the Raven nail part, but the title had absolutely nothing to do with the episode at all, save for a final random line to justify it. Pathetic.

Having read the Comic Canon, I find it beyond amusing with Starfire being the pacifist in this episode, when all the comic Titans constantly feared her unleashing her warrior zeal and power. And Starfire, in turn, held herself back out of respect for her friends, yet she was occasionally frustrated by this self-imposed limitation. And this episode actually worked, even the moral -- complete with moral quasi-consistency, as even after the HIVE got their revenge against the Titans, the latter still continued their kindness shtick, when normally, the moral is "treat kindness for those worthy, but don't have it as weakness against evil, who will exploit it against you." The only real moral hiccup was Robin with the black widow spider or, really, Starfire trying to stop him from crushing it. Given how hyper-venomous they are, Robin's reaction is justified, because he could be mortally wounded by the black widow -- regular spider, as well, depending on the physical reaction to the bite, but the danger doesn't spike as much compared to a black widow's poison. In which case, nice ness is fine, except there are mortal threats out there that cannot be reasoned with, unlike metahuman villains, like the HIVE kids. Unfortunately, kindness to a poisonous animal or pest means nothing if you end up potentially dead because of it. Otherwise, the episode was fine, including the cute weapons.

That said, the spider's puppy dog eyes was more cute than I expected it to be.
