Let's talk about Raven's legs! Because, you know, it's not like we haven't seen them before.... |

I'm watching the episode now online, it's pretty funny (I've accepted that this show is the DC version of Looney Tunes) Though i can't help but still cringe at Garfield's drooling over Raven's legs, (the whole BB/Rae thing kinda nauseates me anyway), although watching Cyborg turn real creepy is pretty cool. and it's kind of ironic, that out of all of them who tried it on, Robin's reaction was the best. Who knew Raven could dance. :P |

"She got legs, and she knows how to use them..." Haven't seen it yet, but I'm hoping to. Was it a good Raven episode? |

For what it is, it's pretty good, she can dance quite well, (could have a career as pole dancer), and the gold/yellow leotard looks nice. Tara did a nice job with the dialog. |

I cringe over the blatant BB/Rae shipping in it, but looking past it, it was a good episode. I was laughing at how an emotional Raven is basically Twilight Sparkle, as that is the voice Tara went into when the cape went away. It was still a deeper TS, but it was there nonetheless. It was funny at least. Better than I thought it would be. I was really expecting a 100% train wreck, so I was plesantly surprised. Still not my favorite Raven episode, but it is up there. |

The cuteness factor is the only thing that this show can offer me. I take what I can get. |

You guys aren't the only ones cringing over the whole BBxRae shipping they got going on in this series trust me. ;) (I made a video on why the two were never cannon in the original animated series and how they do not work as being a couple but that's for a different topic.) Anyway look beyond that and seeing Rae kick butt with just using her legs was awesome and sort of...hot. I couldn't be the only one who thought of ZZ Top's song "Legs" throughout the whole episode right? :V This is one of my favorites so far in the series. ^_^ |

Cue the "Raven as a stripper" jokes. :D Seriously, how bad is the Beast Boy/Raven lulz in this one? Just so I can prepare myself accordingly. I'll force myself to watch, just so I can write Robin/Lady Legasus -- man, what a dopey name, but whatever, GO writers. |

Not to mention that since this episode came out, there have been a plethora of Lady Legasus fanart on DeviantArt. Just from what I've seen on the Teen Titans group alone. |

Meanwhile, Rule 34 is slowly, but surely taking effect. Before I begin my review, if anyone says 'take a shot anytime B.B. pervs on Raven's legs,' you'll get bombed fast. I think the total is no less than 6 times, but I may need to recount. It's an insufferable running gag, but I know the producers have -- I'll keep this clean, despite the episode's rampant sexual innuendo and imagery -- the mad love for the pairing, blah, blah, blah. And I'm sure it will get worse as the series progresses, much worse. Meanwhile, this is the closest Robin/Raven fans will get for now, save for "Colors of Raven," as Robin tries to bring Raven out of her cloak in a friendly ish way, he clearly adopts a physical reaction to Raven's body -- infer your own dirty joke -- and he's bold enough to steal the cloak while she's in the shower. That takes ball bearings. As for Raven's recurring physical abuse toward Robin, that's another matter. The first time is understandable, as he did somewhat intrude upon her -- justified, as she was retreating into herself rather than simply dealing with the Titans and their dance-off, while Beast Boy's "Shocking -- Raven doesn't want to have any fun" is the proverbial icing on the cake. The second time, however, when he finally notices her and "hey, you can share emotions, after all," she crossed the line by giving him a rather horrific beating in light of his reasonable teasing. To the point I outright said to myself when viewing, "what is her problem? Or she really needs to go to an anger management course and stop responding with her fists," or legs in this case. I definitely didn't like it when she wantonly smacked that poor mascot in Girls Night Out, and the same can be said here, if not amplified. As for all the fanservice between Raven's very stripper-esque dancing and, yes, her legs, the art style is rather polarizing, so YMMV on its effects. If you love all that, you'll heart this episode. If you don't, as I do not, then the episode can be a semi-chore to watch in some spots. Despite all that, the episode does raise a fascinating issue with Raven's moodiness being based from her cloak, a worthy B-plot when it's either A or B that command the attention of most episodes, not both. It leads to good deconstruction, as the Titans become critical of Cyborg's Raven-esque behavior (FTW on Starfire's critique on the sarcasm addiction, as I've been recently saying about 2003/GO Raven). And nice early cameo of Blood, even though, he wouldn't fully appear until Waffles, as Legs came first. (Right, or was this another Opposite/Be Mine" episode switching goof-up?) Or, the tl;dr version: ignoring Raven's semi-abusive behavior toward Robin and all the weird fanservice, Raven needed the spotlight and her cloak plotline was better managed than expected. |
