Here is where you can discuss Robin house-sitting the Batcave in "Sidekick."

My commentary/opining to be done later, blah, blah.

Alright, it was full of your normal Titan asshattery, but this was hilarious. I liked it. I don't understand why the Hive was there, I mean... why were they in Gotham? But whatever. It was still funny.

If nothing else, it proves why you should never take the Titans anywhere, or anywhere elaborate or shiny. Between that and the snickering, jeez.

Robin's early jerkass ness aside, you do get a good sense of his issues or turmoil with Batman. Particularly his mimicking Batman and Alfred as part his "fear the consequences" shtick that everyone does. (And speaking of that, where is Alfred? He is on vacation, or somehting, too?) Until the strobe light Batarang came into the picture and dropped all that (and Batman, to date in this series, still has done nothing but snicker with his BFF).

And after the 2003 series avoided "he-who-shall-not-be-named" and all those Batman references (for legal and story reasons), it is nice to have Robin mention Batman very freely in this episode and the series, generally.

As for Star cosplaying as Batgirl, that is most amusing, and disturbing, given that's combining two of Dick Grayson's main love interests. And I'm sure Babs would have been amused or, really, annoyed, as she wasn't too crazy about Star's relationship with Dick, anyway. Whoops.

And while I'm glad the HIVE popped up, it seems, "you're in Gotham, and trademarks aren't a problem with this series, apparently, so why not use Bat-rogues?" Oh, well.

Meanwhile, Raven can communicate with Batman's bats. That screams for fanfic.

So, as usual, love the setting, hate the Titans. Oh, well.
