(Partially inspired from a discussion with Nevermore, along with a May 2012 post from the Four Color Media Monitor.) As many modern DC fans are aware, the company has been undergoing a series of reboots (e.g., Flashpoint, New 52). Interestingly, one title seems to be exempt -- Hellblazer from the Vertigo line. In fact, as per the link below, the series will soon reach issue #300. Link: http://www.comics.org/series/3599/ In which case, why is Hellblazer allowed to continue normally, whereas, the majority of DC titles are not? This is not a criticism, as the thread is actually for curiosity's sake. Personally speaking, I have no clue why DC has made the exception for Hellblazer, so if anyone has their own theory, please, enlighten both me and the other members. Nota bene: Questions or replies about the reboots themselves really should wait until a respective thread is created. However, I am not opposed to a mini-discussion in the meantime, until such a thread exists. Ideally, it will be done in the next day or so. |
