It dropped this item recently. Have at it, people.

Some good news regarding TTG's current state: Fan letters sent in to DC Comics urging them against the possible cancellation of TT show-based comic "Teen Titans Go!" are being read and responded to. "NevermoreRaven" from the TitansGo.net forums sent a letter and received this response from none other than DC's President Paul Levitz:

"Thank you for your recent letters. I do not think we have officially ended Teen Titans Go! But the time is certainly near. With the animated TV series wrapped up and sales of the comic always having been fairly modest, it is time to make room for new projects. I hope you will enjoy most of them as much as you did Teen Titans GO!"

A more positive response from DC's Coordinating Editor Jann Jones:

"We love Teen Titans GO! and we are very proud of the work J and Todd have done. We're currently trying to figure out the future of the book. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and opinions with us."

The part about TTG's sales being "fairly modest" may be questionable, but the fact that DC is aware of the comic's fan support and are "trying to figure out" its future is a good sign. Since Paul is reading/responding (and is farther up the company ladder than Dan DiDio), we now encourage everyone to continue writing letters of support to save "Teen Titans Go!" and to address them to Paul Levitz.

Send your letters (please keep them courteous!) to:
Paul Levitz (and/or: Dan DiDio; Tom Palmer Jr.; "Johnny DC")

TTG writer J. Torres posted at Comic Bloc's forums that the "Teen Titans Go!" schedule is currently, but tentatively, up to #47. Issue #47 will be a 2-stories-in-1 issue featuring Starfire and Raven, and a retelling of Robin's origin as drawn by Teen Titans director Michael Chang! With more planned for TTG past #47, losing the series soon after would be a huge loss. Keep on writing letters everyone, DC is listening and responding!

Levitz isn't unreasonable, and more sensical than DiDio, so go with him.

Update:

Two big updates on the status of "Teen Titans Go!": A source close to DC Comics has told us that "Teen Titans Go!" is getting an additional collected volume (read on for why this is significant)! Even more good news is that the fan letters sent to DC Comics are having a big effect. Apparently the letters are doing so well that the cut-off month for TTG is now even more vague and up in the air (but in a good way). This may mean the series has been given more issues as an extension!

The news about TTG getting another collected volume (and in a new format) is noteworthy for two reasons: the series will no longer be collected in the small "digest book" format, but will be given a nicer "full-size" format (show-based comic "The Batman Strikes!" will also get this new format, as DC's latest solicits show). A new volume also shows DC is interested in keeping the series around (as well as a chance for more volumes and new TTG issues!). For this "upgrade" to happen, TTG must be highly regarded by the folks at DC.

Despite the good news all around, no confirmation that TTG is in the clear has been given yet. The fan letters made alot of progress so far, so we urge everyone to continue sending letters of support to DC Comics (remember to be courteous) and to spread the word.

Huzzah!

Too bad CN/Warner Bros Studios didn't pay attention to the fans regarding the TT show.....

I've never read any of the comics anyway, but it's good to know the TT francise will live on (for a little while longer) anyway.
