Here is where you can discuss a debate of the various tastes and preferences of music in the 11 min web-sode, "The Lost Episode".

My review to come forthwith.

I'll work on finding a link to it, or wait until the Season 3 DVD. Whichever comes first.

I only saw it once. Can't remember where i DLed it from, though. It was pretty good.

They could not have made Punk Rocket more cliche. Not all of us punk rockers are like that.

Obviously.

And Slade wants to rule the world. Not so original, either, huh?

I know a little about Punk dudes and stuff. It's not my thing, but that doesn't mean Green Day can't make an occasional song I actually like. And I'm a bit of a metalhead. A unique, picky one, but still a metalhead.

You and me both, brother.

When I first saw Punk Rocket, my insides screamed "BILLY IDOL!!!".

Did anyone else get that feeling?

Well, I've got nothing against the episode. Punk rocket was very funny to watch and a neat villain. Loking back, they only used a few cliches out of the hundreds there must be, but they really overblew the ones they picked. This adds to the fun of the episode.

I like to think of myself as more open minded then the average punk. I listen to everything from Death Metal to country.

To Severus Maximillion Rage: Though on my pickier side, I'd like to point out that Green Day isn't punk. They're a more pop-inflected offshoot of bands like The Queers and The Ramones. They're what you call pop-punk or post-grunge. They do write awesome songs though, and I have most of their cds.

And if anyone is interested in the specific cliches, here's the list:

1. PR's british accent
2. His "chaos is good" attitude. (That whole anarchist thing that's large in punk rock)
3. The loud, fast musical style (I'm not complaining, I like it that way.)
4. Aspects of his clothing. (Not two punk rockers really dress the same, but the brattiness is there.)

As you can probably tell, I take my music and it's cliches seriously.

My overall rating of this episode: 7/10

Edit: And yes, I did think he looked like Billy Idol. That may not be coinicidence. Since I gaurantee that at least one person and the writing team listen to some punk.

side note: I'm a bit of metalhead too, but mostly a punk.

Okay, I give up. I don't know what the hell Green Day is anymore.

I would rather like to see the episode one day myself. Seems like it might be pretty good.

A friend of mine takes Nirvana waaay too seriously. He gets really mad if someone uses the music to one of their songs for anything humor related.
And he's going through an Emo stage right now because he says he's done everything else, and he's right.

But I digress.

I would like to hear his music, and I did think something along the lines of Billy Idol when I first saw him on a screenshot.

Nirvana rules. Though I can't bring myself to believe he was murdered. I mean, old Kurt wasn't right in the head.

And don't sweat it. Sub genres are complicated. They're punk on a general basis, if you want it simple.

And for viewing pleasure, youtube is always there. :P

Yeah, he was murdered all right, but he killed the killer before he could be tried in court. *cough cough*

And considering who he was with, I can see why.

I saw it on the 'Net a couple of years ago. My boyfriend gave me the code and I watched it two or three times. Punk Rocket was okay, as far as villains go, and the episode itself was awesome.

Okay is all any villains can manage when you've got Slade to measure them to.

Ah yes...

Ron Pearlman as Slade Wilson.

I don't think I have to stress the fact that I'm a huge Ron fan.

Yeah, every other villian is either substandard or just barely up to par when measured against Slade.

That is, of course, my humble opinion.
--------------------------------------------
EDIT: My bad. I've gotten us off topic.
--------------------------------------------

Punk Rocket is one of my favorite villians.

His vocalist does a good job at portraying the stereotypical anarchist and he's got a frickin' awesome sonicwave guitar.

Which brings me to my next point....

COULD THE TITANS HAVE BEATEN HIM IF BEAST BOY DIDN'T HAVE WAXY BUILDUP?!!

Remember, everything they threw at him just got knocked back in their faces.

But alas!

Our beloved Billy Idol clone was defeated by EARWAX!!!

Your move.
