Caught this at AI. Teen Titans Video Game Delayed... Again!? Looks like more bad news for fans who are anxiously awaiting the release of the TEEN TITANS video game for the GameCube, XBOX, and Playstation 2 consoles. According to EB Games, the game's release date has been pushed back to July 3, 2006. This newest development is the latest in a series of frustrating delays for the video game. Earlier postponements have had the game set to hit stores on February 14, then April 4th, and then on May 1st. The Teen Titans Video Game official website still bills the game as an "exciting February release"... and the site is devoid of any explanation for (or mention of) the delays. We'll do our best to keep you updated, but TITANS fans might need to be ready to settle in for the long haul. Yep. More waiting, lovely. Maybe in time for the movie? Headdesk. |

I was looking for it at Wal-Mart a few days after it was supposed to be released, and I wasn't a happy camper about it. What's the freaking problem?! |

They're probably patching up the graphics. From the impressions i've read from people who have posted on gamespot.com about the demo, they aren't impressed, also, some magazines who have reviewed the game already didn't give it a high score. (links are on www.gamespot.com) So...yeah...they're probably improving the graphics, lets hope, anyway. |

It's a game based on a hit TV show. They almost NEVER do well. Except with fans, but only in rare instances do they falter with them, though. I'm gonna love it, but I'm a fan. |

I'm not complaining. My birthday is in May. I could buy it with my birthday money. XD As long as the fighting system is good, I'll be happy with it. |

AI dropped this. I didn't think it deserved a separate topic. Video Game Delay: Nothing to do with the production end A reliable source was kind enough to check out the progress of the highly-anticipated yet mysteriously delayed TEEN TITANS video game on behalf of anxious fans. Here's what he had to say: "Okay, fans, I just heard from a friend who worked on the production side of things for the Titans video game. I'm told that they (the studio) finished their work a while back and that the delay seems to be on the publishing or distribution end. Even their producer didn't know what the hold up is, but their guess is that the [powers] that be may be waiting to release the game to coincide with other TT products. Or, my guess is that they're holding out for an event like the movie airing on CN or possibly even the San Diego Comicon where a lot of companies like to unveil/debut stuff. So, there you have it. Or not. And at last, we have (sort of) a reason for the delay." Stay tuned for updates and more as we hear them! Edit: Titansgo.net reported that J. Torres (the writer of Titans Go!) is the source. And the release date is pushed up to July 1st. Two whole days, yep. So there you go. At least it's a reason, albeit a poorly done one. |
