http://www.comicscontinuum.com/stories/0602/17/index.htm Andy Milder has been cast for the voice of Lightning Lad in the upcoming animated series featuring the Legion of Super-Heroes, The Continuum has learned. The series, from Warner Bros. Animation, is expected to be announced soon. Creators from both Justice League Unlimited and Teen Titans are involved in the project. Milder played Dean Hodes in Showtime's Weeds. He's provided voices for such video games as The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, Vampire: The Masquerade -- Bloodlines, Men of Valor and Star Trek: Elite Force II. Found this information over at scans_daily Livejournal. Thought it was mildly interesting. I may watch an episode or two of this Legion of Super-Heroes, to see if the Teen Titans' staff does as good a job the second time around. |

I never much cared for the Legion of Super-Heroes (although I did enjoy S:TAS' take for it). But if it involves both the Titan and JLU crew, I shall do my best to pique my interest. Damn irony for not liking Legion of Super-heroes with creative teams he likes. Shifty eyes. But it better not be on CN or...shudders, God help us again. |

I'm assuming it's animated, therefore a cartoon, and therefore, on Cartoon Network. This might not last long, depending on its fanbase. If it gets big, well, you'll know what'll happen. |

Cartoon Network's motto: "If too many people actually like a show, ax it" Anyways, can't say that the news of this new show has me jumping for joy. I've never gotten into the Legion of Super-Heroes. I might watch a few episodes of it, but it doesn't do nearly enough to make up for cancelling Teen Titans and soon to be cancelled Justice League. |

I think right now, my issue is "which creators?" Ideally, I'd like... JLU: Bruce Timm as character designer, for the people yet. Matt Wayne has proven his writing nicely. And I don't want this to be all action, I would like a Titan feel as the Legion has their share of problems. Macduffie, not the whole thing but I like his no brainer scripts from time to time (I know, I complain too much). Titans: Murakami as character designer, definitely as he's great at the monsters. Hoegee, with his writing at peak form, it will be quality entertainment. Wolfram, as much as I don't like her writing, I don't mind doses of it for the teen angst that comes with the Legion (and they got it). I dunno with Slack as he's moving on to live action format but that would be nice. Just my thoughts. |
