Apparently on CN's Toonami promo aired today, and had a new show in Titans' Saturday night timeslot. Wulin Warriors. Looks like a Kabuki puppet show. Don't know much of anything about it but it appears to be an ongoing show, maybe. Yep. Two whole weeks before they dropped it (at least on Toonami). Nice way to respect one of your bigger moneymakers, CN. I hope I'm wrong but...yeah. Dies. |

I thought it kind of looked like Power Rangers, only worse. I could be way off base though. |

*this is lankree, slamming her head into the nearest wall* I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that CN has lost all the sense that it possesses. I can't say I'm disappointed with the quality of its new programming, because except for sporadic Naruto watching, I haven't turned to cartoon network since the rerun of Things Change. We can't fault them for switching up the line up, but man, are they desperately trying to not make friends... There's something worse than the power rangers? Hurts my bruised head to think about it. must go lie down. |

Well, I thought it would be a month or to be respectful, rerun the Season Five episodes before they yanked. That said, I kinda wished they'd do a final marathon of sorts. All the season Five stuff but nope, we know better. As lankree said, they are burning their bridges. Good for them. Either way, I'm only here for the Titan reruns until they go too and then...whoosh. But just two weeks to switch it out, I admire their restraint. Heh. |

*sigh* Like the funeral was hurried because the preist or whoever had a meeting to go to. I want to sue for malpractice, or something. I feel heartbroken. |

Yet another symptom of the crooked, deteriorating, uneducated minds at Cartoon Network. Please refer to Cartoon Network B*tching Thread. |

CN is like a man tumbling down a cliff, it's trying to grab on to whatever it can to stop it from falling. CN is very close to hitting rock bottom, it won't be long until it does. |

No doubt this may be a stupid question but did anyone watch the new show? I don't care but just curious to see what is replacing the Titans' throne so quickly. |

*gulp* I saw it on the news..... this is a Taiwan thing. Apparently, the news are making a big deal out of it saying that this is a big step for Taiwanese Kabui puppet show which it is. As a Taiwanese I'm proud of it since this would be the first time shows like these appears on cartoon channels thought it is a bit weird, but after seeing this... I don't know what to think now. Things I learn from the news: Cartoonnetwork are planning to manipulate the original Kabui into something more western. Like change the narrating to English and the chinese music to pop and rock musics to fit teenager's taste. The main point they are showing this was because they think the fighting scenes could attract audiences so they cancelled dialogues for the more fight scenes. Another point is that they want to bring something unique and different from the west and bring new ideas to the business. And it seems like it'll be more then an episode. Most Taiwanese are unhappy with all the things they are changing, like Taiwanese to English, it losses the original meaning and feeling in it. And the most ridiculous thing... they made a mute talk. Ahhhh....I don't know what to think.... Ahhhhh.... |

Actually, I haven't really seen these new shows, but I have my feelings. When I first saw the titans launch site so many years ago I "sensed" somthing. I couln't tell what it was, but something about this show seemed very interesting and unique. What's even more amazing is that I had no prior knowledge of a titans comic book series whatsoever. When I heard a commercial announcing that TT was coming to Canada I was excited, I couldn't tell why. These new shows, however, don't draw the some feelings of excitement I got from the titans. They look like the same old crap that has been airing all the time. With Titans it was something new, but these shows stink of all around boringness. CN doesn't understand that teenagers watch their program too, all they focus on are 10 year olds who don't pay enough attention to get squat, thus, these new shows. I spit on CN! *katooie* |
