A friend of mine told me he noticed earthworms in his yard all moving to the west.

I watched a movie the other day where Henry Winkler walked around the whole time with a shoe box filled with earthworms. :chuckle:

It wasn't a very good movie, but because of Harrison Ford, Henry Winkler, and Sally Field being in it, I watched it.

The premise was about healing from being in a war.

P.S. In the movie Henry Winkler was going west with his shoebox of earthworms. I think he went from NYC to Eureka, California.

These vids have some interesting weird happenings in war, the story of Lucky Yamaguchi for instance.

Quote:

Soon, “Lucky” was home in Nagasaki. Despite the painful burns that covered his body, the bandages swathing his entire body, and the hearing he’d lost in Hiroshima, Yamaguchi went to work at the Mitsubishi plant on August 9th. He told his coworkers there the story of what happened when the world around him exploded, and his supervisor remarked that Yamaguchi was crazy – his story just wasn’t believable to these people who had never experienced the detonation of a nuclear weapon.
In the seconds that followed Yamaguchi’s story – and his supervisor’s comments – the U.S. dropped the world’s second nuclear bomb, Fat Man.

Gee, i never knew that about worms. Pretty cool that your friend observed the worms heading west, too, dennis. That might be something that most people could easily overlook or not see at all...

I've got a ricotta cheese container filled with worms sitting outside right next to my front door...lol. They are waiting to go fishing one of these days when the weather finally allows. I usually keep worm containers in the fridge. They will last all winter and be ready for spring, ya know. :)

One year I collected loads of nightcrawlers from my yard in chgo. I brought them to michigan in a rubbermaid storage tub, right before i moved. They lasted in that tub quite a while in the garage...

Anyway, wonder why the worms were heading west.... :scratchinghead:

Have had a couple of people ask me about groundhogs last few days, then over the weekend my dog caught one and had it in the yard.

Saw this this morning about a seismographic pulse that went east to west across the country- it doesn't seem to want to embed

I have the same problem. You have to get rid of the "time_continue=397&" in the code.

Giant predatory worms invading France and threatening local wildlife

Giant predatory worms from tropical parts of Asia that have stealthily invaded French gardens pose a threat to local wildlife, scientists are warning.

The voracious creatures have infiltrated gardens across the country and also French territories.

A new study has collected reports of the unusual creatures, which are known to grow up to 40cm in length.

Wow, cool videos. Had actually already heard about several of those little happenings, especially the Tomb of Tamerlane (which I have tried and failed to see confirmed), but it matches Napoleon Bonaparte's expression that “All great events hang by a hair. The man of ability takes advantage of everything and neglects nothing that can give him a chance of success; whilst the less able man sometimes loses everything by neglecting a single one of those chances.” He was himself almost killed several times in the beginning and throughout his career, and had very unusual abilities and timings that led him to be just at the right place and at the right time, minutes to spare. Also recall the case of Sangharakshita, a Buddhist monk who left a gathering of friends early to be on his way somewhere else, and was the only monk in attendance when a great man of his faith died suddenly, and held up the hope of his followers amid the confusion. Anyway, it seems to be about the concept of synapse. Just as electrical currents need a thin filament and just the right conditions to set up a spark, ethereal forces require potential recipients of their largesse to set themselves up for failure, for fragility, trusting in faith and in just the right desire. Have several structures and objects which obtained for themselves that characteristic of 'dancing in space and time', just like actual ritual dances actually, and that stretching out, receptiveness to signal, eagerness to step down Elsewhere, is the essence of shamanic communication with the Other. The coin a money frog has in its mouth must be just about to fall.. the really amazing churches must defy gravity and reason. You have to alter and explore the world in such a way that the Unexpected is invited in to complete the circuit.

Budva dancer statue, Montenegro. I randomly searched for such a thing, and there it, waiting, was. Also notice my single use of two dots (..) on the paragraph above and in others.

In the Time of Rage the mat and the throne of the righteous were buried,
and the Son of Evil called them "Sons of Laziness".
They would walk bowed and silent until their time
to take up the rulership
and Wisdom alone
would be their mark.
