Some big storms hitting w mich - luckily enough, the strong ones moved around and past me - only rain...Another round is due in a couple hrs. These storms and radar blobs are big - moving from chgo area and right across lake with more on the way. The first round hit a couple counties over - ripped a roof off a business - people trapped inside...lots of wind damage and flooding. Reported tornadoes around the area too. http://woodtv.com/2015/06/22/portland-good...trapped-inside/ The power company has been cautioning people that when the storms are around, they cant fix power lines (til storm passes). Just gonna note that - The crows and ravens have been close in the yard for a couple days now. They've been keeping a close eye on me - watched me painting the back bedroom yesterday...They were right outside the window for a long time. They were also 'talking' quite a bit - not a caw caw thing, but moreso different vocalizations... |

That's cool with the crows and ravens. This was the first year the crows didn't eat all our cherries. I think it's because of all the outside activity. They're still all over the place, just not in out cherry tree.I picked up a generator (inverter) the other day, and it's all hooked up and ready to go. It's an expensive one, and I installed a separate power panel for it with a switching system that protects power company employees from being shocked from back feeding into the power lines. I know some people will hook up to their house through the cloths dryer plug, but that's a dangerous thing to do, and it's against the codes. That's some nasty looking damage in the pictures. |

Those storms produced 3 tornadoes in mich the other day. Thankfully, only lots of rain fell right here.... not much lightning or wind either. The crows are still here - must have taken up residency way in the back yard woods... They definitely feel magical.... come close to the house and look in the windows at me every so often. Kids were here yesterday and they were 'talking' to the crows from the window...lol. |

I often "caw" at the crows. Sometimes they caw back.
