I have been looking for the number 8,460 in my accounting/year end bookkeeping. Now I know why--- Earthquakes and Magic Squares Chile quake occurred on Saturday ( Saturn Day) The number 72 has a Saturn connection---- Latitude of Quakes 18 h + 36c = 54 3 + 6 = 9 360 / 54 = 6.66 54 / 360 = .15 6 / 40 Longitude of Quakes 72 h 72.72 c 3 * 72 = 216 2160 = 1/12 of 25,920 yrs precession From WIKI: Magic squares were known to Chinese mathematicians, as early as 650 BC[2] and Arab mathematicians, possibly as early as the 7th century, when the Arabs conquered northwestern parts of the Indian subcontinent and learned Indian mathematics and astronomy, including other aspects of combinatorial mathematics.[citation needed] The first magic squares of order 5 and 6 appear in an encyclopedia from Baghdad circa 983 AD, the Encyclopedia of the Brethren of Purity (Rasa'il Ihkwan al-Safa); simpler magic squares were known to several earlier Arab mathematicians.[2] Some of these squares were later used in conjunction with magic letters as in (Shams Al-ma'arif) to assist Arab illusionists and magicians.[3] [edit] Lo Shu square (3×3 magic square) Chinese literature dating from as early as 650 BC tells the legend of Lo Shu or "scroll of the river Lo".[2] In ancient China there was a huge flood. The great king Yu (禹) tried to channel the water out to sea where then emerged from the water a turtle with a curious figure/pattern on its shell; circular dots of numbers which were arranged in a three by three grid pattern such that the sum of the numbers in each row, column and diagonal was the same: 15, which is also the number of days in each of the 24 cycles of the Chinese solar year. This pattern, in a certain way, was used by the people in controlling the river. 4 9 2 3 5 7 8 1 6 The Lo Shu Square, as the magic square on the turtle shell is called, is the unique normal magic square of order three in which 1 is at the bottom and 2 is in the upper right corner. Every normal magic square of order three is obtained from the Lo Shu by rotation or reflection. The Square of Lo Shu is also referred to as the Magic Square of Saturn or Cronos. Its numerical value is obtained from the workings of the I Ching when the Trigrams are placed in an order given in the first river map, the Ho Tu or Yellow River. The Ho Tu produces 4 squares of Hexagrams 8 x 8 in its outer values of 1 to 6, 2 to 7, 3 to 8, and 4 to 9, and these outer squares can then be symmetrically added together to give an inner central square of 5 to 10. The central values of the Ho Tu are those of the Lo Shu (so they work together), since in the total value of 15 x 2 (light and dark) is found the number of years in the cycle of equinoctial precession (12,960 x 2 = 25,920). The Ho Tu produces a total of 40 light and 40 dark numbers called the days and nights (the alternations of light and dark), and a total of 8 x 8 x 8 Hexagrams whose opposite symmetrical addition equals 8640, therefore each value of a square is called a season as it equals 2160. 8640 is the number of hours in a 360-day year, and 2160 years equals an aeon (12 aeons = 25,920 yrs). To validate the values contained in the 2 river maps (Ho Tu and Lo Shu) the I Ching provides numbers of Heaven and Earth that are the 'Original Trigrams' (father and mother) from 1 to 10. Heaven or a Trigram with all unbroken lines (light lines - yang) have odd numbers 1,3,5,7,9, and Earth a Trigram with all broken lines have even numbers 2,4,6,8,10. If each of the Trigram's lines is given a value by multiplying the numbers of Heaven and Earth, then the value of each line in Heaven 1 would be 1 + 2 + 3 = 6, and its partner in the Ho Tu of Earth 6 would be 6 + 12 + 18 = 36, these 2 'Original Trigrams' thereby produce 6 more Trigrams (or children in all their combinations) -- and when the sequences of Trigrams are placed at right angles to each other they produce an 8 x 8 square of Hexagrams (or cubes) that each have 6 lines of values. From this simple point the complex structure of the maths evolves as a hexadecimal progression, and it is the hexagon that is the link to the turtle or tortoise shell. In Chinese texts of the I Ching the moon is symbolic of water (darkness) whose transformations or changes create the light or fire - the dark value 6 creates the light when its number is increased by 1. This same principle can be found in ancient calendars such as the Egyptian, where the 360 day year of 8640 hrs was divided by 72 to produce the 5 extra days or 120 hours on which the gods were born. It takes 72 years for the heavens to move 1 degree through its Precession. on 72- from WIKI 72 is: The number of hours in 3 days. In a plane, the exterior angles of a regular pentagon measure 72 degrees each. The mass of the Moon is 1/72nd of that the Earth. The volume of Saturn is 72 times of that the Earth. The 72 Paranatellons, extra-zodiacal constellations that rise and set simultaneously with zodiacal constellations A loud tone of 72Hz makes light objects vibrate. The Rule of 72 in finance. The designation of USA Interstate 72, a freeway that runs from Missouri to Illinois, East <> West. The registry of the U.S. Navy's nuclear aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72), named after U.S. President Abraham Lincoln. The usual par for an 18 hole golf course, especially those in tournament play. While playing for the Chicago White Sox, Carlton Fisk wore #72. This was the inverse of the 27 he wore with the Boston Red Sox since that number was not available when he arrived in Chicago. IN RELIGION: ▪ The conventional number of scholars translating the Septuagint, according to the legendary account in the "Letter of Aristeas". ▪ The conventional number of disciples sent forth by Jesus in Luke 10 in some manuscripts (seventy in others). ▪ The number of names of God, according to Kabbalah (see names of God in Judaism). ▪ The Shemhamphorasch related to the number of the names of God. ▪ The total number of books in the Holy Bible in the Catholic version if the Book of Lamentations is considered part of the Book of Jeremiah. ▪ The current distribution of the Revelation book is 22 chapters, adopted since the 13th century. But such was not always the case. The oldest known division of the text is that the Greek commentator Andrew of Cesary (6th century) in 72 chapters. Although made with enough accuracy, this structuring could be easily reduced to 70, while putting in the same chapter, the numbers 60, 61 and 62 which constitute a whole, the millennial Reign. Andrew had wanted moreover group these 72 chapters three by three, in order to obtain 24 sections, corresponding to the 24 old mans. These 24 sections were completely arbitrary, and divided the texts at the wrong moment. Let us mention that the Codex Amiatinus and the Codex Fuldensis share the book of the Revelation in 25 chapters, and that some Latin handwritten find some from 22 to 44. ▪ The number of warriors on the Muslim side at the Battle of Badr. ▪ The number of people martyred along with Imam Hussain at the Battle of Karbala. ▪ The number of soldiers who will fight alongside Imam Mahdi against the Dajjal, according to Islamic ahadith are313 not 72. ▪ The number of devils according to The Lesser Key of Solomon. ▪ The 72 old men of the synagogue, according to the Zohar. ▪ The degrees of the Jacob's ladder were to the number of 72, according to the Zohar. ▪ The 72 disciples of Confucius. ▪ The good God Osiris was enclosed in a coffin by 72 evil disciples and accomplices of Set.[1] ▪ It is the number of the Immortals Taoism. At the age of the puberty, the young Parsee received the investiture of the sacred cord Kucti made of 72 linens in symbol of the community. |

Calamity Jane film released 31 years ago March 16 The China Syndrome From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia For the nuclear meltdown concept, see China Syndrome. Directed by James Bridges Produced by Michael Douglas Written by Mike Gray T.S. Cook James Bridges Starring Jane Fonda Jack Lemmon Michael Douglas Distributed by Columbia Pictures Release date(s) March 16, 1979 Running time 122 minutes Country United States Language English The China Syndrome is a 1979 American thriller film that tells the story of a reporter and cameraman who discover safety coverups at a nuclear power plant. It stars Jane Fonda, Jack Lemmon, Michael Douglas, Scott Brady, James Hampton, Peter Donat, Richard Herd, and Wilford Brimley. The movie was written by Mike Gray, T.S. Cook and James Bridges. It was directed by Bridges. It was nominated for Academy Awards for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Lemmon), Best Actress in a Leading Role (Fonda), Best Art Direction-Set Decoration (George Jenkins, Arthur Jeph Parker) and Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen. [1] The film was also nominated for the Palme d'Or (Golden Palm) at the 1979 Cannes Film Festival and Lemmon won Best Actor for his performance.[2] The movie's script won the 1980 Writers Guild of America award.[3] The title refers to the concept that if an American nuclear plant melts down, the core will melt through the Earth until it reaches China (see China Syndrome). China is a metaphor, as the opposite side of the globe from the USA is actually the Indian Ocean. The film was released on March 16, 1979, just twelve days before the real-life events at Three Mile Island, Pennsylvania. The Three Mile Island accident helped propel The China Syndrome into a blockbuster.[4][5] |

here is more, that 8640 number too. The Rainbow Grid. http://www.greatdreams.com/rainbow-grid.htm "The average circumference of Mars is 13200 miles---- Notice that "13200" is a nice binary decimal harmonic multiple of "33" ....13200 / 33 = 400 ... and what is "400" ? .... it's the ratio of The Sun size to The Moon size !!!! .... 864000 / 2160 = 400 ..." 400 is also dalet in hebrew, the fourth letter d.... meaning door and i have 3 older brothers, and live in the old family house with 4 doors, one to each direction. and 864 is my "area code" better put this stuff down for awhile.... its a sunny day today and there's planting to do. dennis aka dt123

House of Four Doors by the MOOdy Blues Mystery spead it's cloak Across the sky We'd lost our way Shadows fell from trees They knew why Then thru the leaves a light broke thru A path lost for years lead us thru House of four doors I could live there forever House of four doors Would it be there forever? Lonliness, the face of pilgrims eyes was known As the door opened wide Beauty they had found before my eyes to see To the next door we came Love of music showed in everything we heard Thru the third door where are we? Enter in all ye who seek to find within As the plaque said on the last door |

one more and I'm done with my shameless self promotion. 248 is a number I am known by, if you catch my social drift... from the above ref article: "NOTES ON 248: From Strong's Bible Concordance 248 aloao {al-o-ah'-o} AV - tread out the corn 2, thresh 1; 3 1) to thresh (such as at the harvest?) FROM: http://members.aol.com/Sabrin1315/eqpent.htm Venus is tied strongly to the pentagram because 365/225 (225 is the number of Earth-days in Venus's orbit around the sun) = 1.622, very close to 1.618, the fabled "Golden Ratio," used widely in Greek and Egyptian temple architecture as well as the art of da Vinci. The Golden Ratio is demonstrated in the pentagram in numerous ways, which may serve to explain why the pentagonal dodecahedron is the "uppermost" of the Platonic solids. Since the difference is not exactly 72 degrees, the ninth Sun/Venus conjunction (the fifth one used to trace the pentagram) is one or two degrees off from the position of the first. In other words, the pentagram in the sky is slowly rotating! A full rotation, or return to the starting point, takes 248 years. Astrologers will note this is the orbital period of Pluto. In this time there are 31 Sun/Venus conjunctions; 31 has been the Key to the Book of the Law since Achad's observations (AL = LA = 31 in Hebrew; in English, 31 = NU, a form of Nuit's name that occurs frequently). Note also that 248 = THE QUEEN OF SPACE, THERE ARE FOUR GATES, and UNTO % NU. UN = 31 TO = 31 NU = 31, thus UNTO NU = 93. Platonic and Archimedean solids and such plane figures as the Pentagram were powerful tools of Applied Magic. The Age of Reason banished such configurations to the realm of superstition.... Buckminster Fuller's search for a natural and truly rational coordinate system eventually led to the tensegrity concept and the construction of geodesic domes. Polyhedra and pentagrams, being proven useful after all, have been rescued from the limbo of superstition. (p. xv) But where is the pentagram in Synergetics? Outside of a few brief comments offered by Loeb on the golden ratio in the pentagon, it is not shown outright; no, like all good magickal secrets, it has to be found "between the lines." The pentagram is found on the surface of the icosahedron and its sister shape the pentagonal dodecahedron, and on the geodesic dome which is derived from the icosahedron. Fuller writes: " There are only three possible cases of fundamental omnisymmetrical, omnitriangulated, least-effort structural systems in nature: the tetrahedron, with three triangles at each vertex; the octahedron, with four triangles at each vertex; and the icosahedron, with five triangles at each vertex." [532.41] When one places six triangles around a vertex, one gets a plane figure -- a hexagon -- and not a solid. Two triangles "around" a vertex fall together into a single triangle. So these are the only three possible shapes made entirely out of triangles. The triangle, of course, is central to Fuller's system because "any polygon with more than three sides is unstable" (609.01). The triangle, being threefold, is an important figure for the English Qaballist in myriad ways. Firstly the triangle is half a hexagram; the triangle represents the trinity of the Book of the Law -- Nuit, Hadit, Ra-Hoor-Khuit; and of course, the triangle represents the numerous trinities inherent to the Tree of Life. 248: This number has a prominent place in Judaism as it represents the numerical value of the first two words of the fundamental religious expression of monotheism, "Hear, O Israel." RECITING THE SHEMA Here are two customs related to saying the Shema. One custom is to cover your eyes as you recite the first line of the Shema. This is to enable you to concentrate on what you are saying rather than be distracted by anything happening around you. There is an ongoing debate in the tradition whether you need kavanah/intention while doing a mitzvah/commandment. There is agreement that when saying the Shema the first line (some say the first three lines) needs to be said with intention. The other custom is to gather in one hand the four tzitzit/fringes on your tallit/prayer shawl before reciting the Shema. When the tzitzit are mentioned in the third paragraph of the Shema, the tzitzit are then kissed. The phrase el melekh ne'eman is recited before the Shema when you are praying by yourself. This practice originated with Jewish mystics who were concerned with the symbolic meaning underlying the words of the liturgy. These mystics counted the words of the Shema prayer and found that they added up to the number 245. The number 248 is important because traditionally it equals the number of positive commandments as well as the number of limbs and organs in the body. When we pray in a minyan, the person leading concludes the Shema with three words-adonai eloheichem emet-thus giving us our desired total of 248. To get that total when praying alone, we add the phrase el melekh ne'eman before we begin the Shema. This phrase means God, the faithful king, yet the first letter of each of its three words makes up the word amen. Perhaps this phrase then is an expansion on the amen said to conclude the previous blessing. The Echad of God The number 248 also equals in numerical value the word Abraham. It was he who resolved the paradox that physical reality creates for so many spiritual seekers. Rather than escaping from the limitations imposed by living in the material world, he used it to act as a bridge to God. THE SUFI PATH "Allah dwells within the mosque that is your innermost heart," says Bawa. He believes that intention in prayer is very important along with a stilling of the mind. Bawa outlines the seven levels of consciousness (feeling, awareness, intellect, assessment, wisdom, divine analytic wisdom, and divine luminous wisdom) as opening up "the vast ocean of Allah's grace." Whether discussing the five times of prayer, fasting, or purity, Bawa makes it clear that the whole world is a prayer mat to a Sufi. In his commentary on the words of dhikr — "la ilaha, illallah" — he notes that the words will vibrate like the strings of a musical instrument throughout the body "from every one of the 4,448 blood vessels in the body, from the 248 bones, from the ligaments, the nerves, the muscles, and even from the blood. It must emanate from the 105 million hair follicles and pores of the skin." This is an inspiring commentary on the Sufi devotional path. |
