Saugh-he, in times of stress many people turn to another means of comfort such as alcohol, drugs, overeating or other self-destructive things. This can cause people to become more depressed because they have compounded the problems they were originally seeking to lose.

People can become so worn down from their problems that they forget a whole Earth exists outside themselves. Sometimes they lack to get the proper perspective on their problems; because they have failed to connect with nature or Earth Mothers understanding. There is a great part of a person’s psyche that is soothed by the natural earth around them. Many people fail to notice it because so much of it has been paved over in favor of larger cities and more office space.

City planners are starting to realize the effect of what a lack of natural habitat is having on our society. People are now starting to seek a return to landscaping and green space (quote) in new developments that are popping up everywhere.

Remember when you were young and climbed trees, played in the mud, picked flowers, played in the water holes and generally enjoyed being outside.

To me it was good to let my mind wander as I experienced the outside smells of everything Earth Mother had to offer. If people would return to their carefree lifestyles, they would find that a lot of their worries they have now, would go away.

In order for people to get relief from this stressful world; people should take it upon themselves to seek out their own spiritual and sacred places. That is to say, a special place in the outdoors that moves them to reconnect with their inner self.

To find such a place involves a little bit of walking and a little bit of reliving the past. If you can, remember a place you experienced as a little one. It could be a campsite, playground, backyard, creek, swimming hole or any other place you played as a little one. You may need to ask your parents of the names of places you visited in your childhood if you can't remember. If it is not possible to visit some of your childhood places then you need to replace them with places that are near your home at the present.

Visit a creek, woods, hill, lake, mountain, field, a place where birds spend a lot of time, backyard garden or whatever moves you. When you go, take with you a notepad and write down some of your thoughts and feelings as you walk these sacred places.

Ask yourself questions about why the animals, wind, vegetation etc, behaves like it does. Think on the bigger questions of life. Study in great detail, plants, insects and life forms all around you. Believe you are a little one again, experiencing all this for the first time.

Concentrate on how it makes you feel. See and feel the beauty and glory of all that surrounds you, explore everything. Feel the bark and moss on the trees and feel the mud. Then reflect on the sources of stress in your life; ask yourself what importance do they play in your life.

When you return to your spiritual place often, you will automatically be reducing the importance you place on your problems. You will be making time to nurture your inner self and in so doing you will be redirecting your attention on Creator and Earth Mother and you’re on understanding.

You can choose to visit your place either by yourself or with your someone. I like to visit the places I called sacred, alone. If you choose to share it with your little ones, you will be teaching them a valuable lesson on how to place importance and respect to Earth Mother and more importantly, how to look inwardly to face their stress, insecurity, strife and anger; witch I think all comes from fear.

You will be more relaxed, have more patience, understanding and be able to face your on fears with balance and good judgment.

Earth Mother has a way of helping you get centered and clearing your mind to deal with the true dilemma's of life and recognize stresses for what they are, just simple inconveniences, walk with peace.

It's not the great skill of a teacher that understanding will be achieved; but through the teacher's awareness of their walk with creation and their understanding of Creator and Earth Mother.
