It's been many years since I have used this tea. I used to harvest and make my own and slug it down every day. It was stinky at times when fermenting, a bit messy to make, but was really great stuff in my personal opinion. So, here I go again. I was inspired when I saw it at the health food store yesterday. At one time, you HAD to make your own, and maybe I will go back to it. For now, I got a couple of bottles and just took my first cupful. My purpose at this time is to make sure the 'temple' is as healthy and squeaky clean as I can get it. This stuff is great for the immune system and energy levels and I am really glad I re-discovered it. Here's some info on it... Kombucha General Information Although commonly called the Kombucha Mushroom, Kombucha is not a mushroom. Kombucha is the cultured growth of beneficial bacteria and yeasts that form a mushroom shaped colony bound in cellulose matrix. Kombucha propagates or recreates another "culture" similar to itself during the fermentation process.
