Yes, just the controller.

I supose they will ship the unit back with the special box they used for the upgrade program in japan.
Excellent, thanks!

All packed up and ready to go! imakuni1995, I loved your idea of including a note, so I threw one in too! Here's hoping for safe return journeys all around!

Haha, I love it! Don't know if this was intentional or not, but that Yamanote train kinda looks like it has a particular facial expression of sort. Super cute!

I hadn't visited for ages, but...

I ordered DdG P&P last december. It took nearly three months to arrive (lost parcel and the like). I get it at last yesterday, and I try it today. As soon as I try the Diagram 2, I get the crash too. Came here to get some news, I was't disappointed.

T_T

At the same time, I'm surprised there's a recall for international customers. But honestly, I'm reluctant to send it back... Does someone know the extent of the bugs? If it's just Diagram 2 (and a crash from time to time on others), and some mild performances issues*, I may just live with it... Have someone unlocked/played a lot of the routes?

* well, performance are bad, but I don't expect the patch to change everything...

Also, I haven't played the PS2 game for some time, but isn't input lag quite high in this one?

This is the complete list:

Quote:

[Fixed contents]
1. Fixed the problem that makes 205 series of Yamanote line #02 unable to proceed at Ebisu station
2. Fixed the problem that suddenly stopped error during play
3. Fixed the collapse of objects displayed on map and modified displayed objects
4. Fixed the problem that the sun is displayed at a nighttime stage
5. Fixed the problem that choices in front of the Yamanote Line Osaki station are displayed for a second at the conductor mode
6. Reduction of decrease in processing speed at the following place that occurs while running train
・ Where multiple lines are displayed
・ Places where multiple vehicles are displayed at the same time
・ Where to enter the station
・ When displaying in outer view

I did not play much as when it arrived from amazon, I was already aware of the bugs and preferred to wait for a solution before enjoying it.

In a few weeks (mine gets delivered to taito tomorrow) we will startseeing how the recall process turned for the ones that have already sent the unit. You can wait a bit an see before starting the process.

I saw the list, but it doesn't say much about frequency of issues outside Yamanote diagram 2 at Ebisu.

I played Dia 6, and it crashed when I was about to stop at Yoyogi. That's indeed annoying. But yes, I'll probably wait a bit to see how it turns for people that sent theirs for repairs.

There's something that I don't understand, it's how they managed to miss it. No testing at all? It's not as if it was uncommon, it crashed 4 times for me in less than 2 hours, playing only the first three diagrams...

I'm kind of in the same boat.. I don't think it's worth going to the effort of fixing it for minor bugs (to me anyway) .. nowwwwwwwwwwwwww.. if they changed the station songs or really improved it and added something to it I would be really interested in doing it. Looking forward to seeing the report on the updated units :)

Nice to see those coming back quickly...

Still wondering what I'll do... I think the most annoying part of the bug is not being able to unlock hidden routes :/

I managed to find some time to try mine...
- It's DdG, all right, and still enjoyable
- As expected, promotion images, even if they weren't impressive, were still bullshots, image is far from being as clean as shown... (it's 720p, right? Probably doesn't help). And there's a good number of display bugs and a whole lot of pop-in.
- Controller feels better than Type 2 (more solid, better plastic, not sure exactly). It may be that my type 2 is not as good as new, but I don't think that's the only reason.

The original had station chimes? I remember those, but not sure which version it was.

I really want a new one just with cleaner graphics (well, any other improvement is welcome, too).

Out of curiosity... I never really went for scoring (just unbroken chains and as many golden stars as possible), so I have no clue of what kind of score is achieveable. So what represent a good/great score for example on the first Yamanote Loop (Dia #1)? Got 373525 for my first on PnP, with a lot of room for improvement (especially I thought a couple time I was B0 when I was B1 :/)
