Hey everyone! I don't know if many of you are still active on these forums, but I recently went into the trouble of installing most of the Densha De Go! series onto my iMac using tools such as Crossover. I wanted to share my knowledge and what I found while installing these wonderful games: First off, I use the Mac OS X app Crossover Ver. 14.1. (A better alternative to Wineskin) I am using a 20in, Early 2008 iMac running Mac OS X Mavericks (10.9) (Full specs in the pictures below) And the games that I have gotten to work are: Densha De Go! 2 Densha De Go! 3 Densha De Go! Nagoya Railroad Densha De Go! Professional 1 & 2 Densha De Go! Shinkansen Densha De Go! Ryojohen Densha De Go! FINAL Kisha De Go! (All of these games were provided by the awesome user MikeGold) The ones I excluded are Densha De Go! and Densha de Go! 2 Kosoku hen 3000 because it keeps asking me for the CD-ROM on installation, even if the game is mounted. (???) All of these games run perfectly except Shinkansen which crashes after finishing a round. I don't know exactly why this happens or what causes this, but it might have to do with it not running on Windows or on suitable hardware. If anyone wants to discuss this or even want a tutorial, let me know and I'd be happy to help! P.S. Please ignore the other applications in the screenshot, LOL. ------- EDIT: I finally found a fix for the games that didn't work. Now I have the full series working on my computer. How have I never heard of Crossover?.. Very interesting piece of technology. Ive managed to get DenGO! FINAL to work on my 2010 iMac however Ive noticed some of the sounds don't work the majority do but there are a few that don't such as the jingle when you achieve a chain. Plus Ive found the screen resolution doesn't set correctly. I set it to my native res in the configurator (2560x1440) and it always runs at 640x480 which doesn't look pretty blown up on a 27" screen

If you try running FINAL on a Wineskin Winery or something, the game's visuals will not display correctly. Crossover is the only application I've found that has let me play the Densha de Go! series on my iMac without the need to use BootCamp or install Parallels (which I use anyway for different things). |

If you use Parallels, most if not all of them also work. Even better since you can load multiple OS versions according to each title's release. |

It's true. I have to use Parallels to play DDG 1, 2, and 3000-bandai because they don't work with Windows Programs porting software like Crossover. |

You need to replace the original .exe with the crack provided by MikeGold. Then it should work! Or, you can just mount the CD and the game will play that way as well. |
