I don't think it's real routes/scenery.

The gameplay is more like a dancing game than a simulation :(

Only 3 gears (B2, B1, N, P).

If they do the conversion to a ps3 or ps vita game, I hope they will add a simulation mode with more gears & a gameplay like the others Densha de go

first, I was like "YEAH - let´s hope for a port to consoles."
But after watching the trailer and visiting the site...boy oh boy. This is excactly what you don´t want as a DDG fan. Too childish, no real tracks and it seems lika a combination of a card collection game. Puh this is a letdown ^o) Maybe those japanese kids are going crazy about it,who knows ?

After watching this trailer again and realising that it is the 15th Anniversary of DDG , perhaps they have something up their sleeves (they = Taito). I still have faith :)

Thanks for the post! Great find.

Indeed, it's a card-oriented game aimed at younger gamers. There are lots like it in Japan, often with popular themes like Pokemon, Gundam, Dragon Quest etc. They're often located in supermarkets as well as game centres and there'll probably be a machine nearby where you'd pay 100/200 yen for some random cards. Seems like those cards determine your locomotive and coaches, and you scan them one-by-one to make the trainset.

It is disappointing though, I agree. They could've at least included real routes and locations.

I totally agree with you guys.
But I still believe they are planning a new simulation game on ps3 (not like this strange game, but with the same graphics)

They say's it's real japanese lines, only the gameplay has been simplified to be suitable for children...

Maybe something like this needs to be done to boost the popularity of the series.

I hope that it comes to the Wii U in some form.

Lets hope they get something new out. Better if it's something with new lines and current gen level graphics.

Also, I wonder why Ongakukan doesn't release more titles... maybe they actually lost money with the latest two for PS3. As they are developing simulators for professional usage, they already got video feed and line data... it shouldn't be hard to mix it for PS3 and milk our money :D

I hope not! I don't want to buy the Wii U, they already sold me the Wii for the Shinkansen port and wouldn't want to repeat that again XD

Why, is it not very good? I've got the PS2 version which is enjoyable enough and always wanted to try the Wii one.

The Densha Shinkansen controller ps2 is really nice (works on many games also Train Simulator Kyûshû Shinkansen).

But i wouldn't buy a Wii version just for one game...
