A new bus driving game has been released a little while ago for Windows PCs. It's called Bus Simulator 2008 and has some business simulation aspects to it. From what I've read, you basically run your own bus company, for which you have to buy buses etc. and you earn money by driving the buses yourself on some routes. It looks quite nice graphically. There's a demo available on the homepage. I have downloaded it, but not found time to try it out yet, so I can't say if it's good. I'm especially curious how well the physics have been done. The official homepage can be found here: http://www.bussimulatorgame.com/ |

I have played around with it a bit now, but unfortunately I have to say that I still can't say much. I have played around a lot with the settings, but I can't seem to get it to run fast enough on my system (Athlon XP 3000, 2GB RAM, Radeon X800 GTO 256MB, XP SP-2). It looks sort of fun, you can control turn signals, doors, etc. and you can see the people boarding and leaving the bus. But with the framerate I have it's hard to tell if the driving is fun enough. I also think the game would probably be better without the business simulation. |
