Hi! I already have Tokyo Bus Guide 2 on PS2 since some months, but I could not really enjoy it fully yet, because of the crappy controls with the Dual Shock controller. I donīt want to buy a $ 100 Driving Force Pro, I donīt have even space enough for that, so I am on the search for a third party joypad for PS2 that has L and R Triggers like the XBOX and Dreamcast joypads. I know that I can switch the controlls to both analog sticks, but it seems like the game is having an error when using that control scheme. Whenever I adjust to use the right stick to accelerate and break (you get a much better feel for accelerating with the longer push distance of the sticks than the short button push range of the analog L and R buttons), the game automatically uses the "door closing" button at the very beginning of the stage, so I loose automatically points, even before I even touch the joypad. Thatīs very frustrating. If anybody found a good adjustment for the controls it would be of help too of course! Thanks! Yamaote74 |

Yes the default controls do let it down, I nearly broke the L1 button stopping the bus
I am getting used to some of the options but there are a lot in there and it is difficult to know what you are changing. What we need is someone who understands the language to do a list of what all the options mean. I have not found the free mode or 2 player mode yet but am doing well on the normal driving mode, I have just unlocked another run making it 10 at the moment, how many are there I wonder? |

I bought this a few days ago and tried playing it last night. so far I haven't made it past the first couple of bus stops. Bit easier steering a train than a bus (though in real life I have a bus licence so I thought it would be easy) Any hints on what any of the menus mean. I've worked out most of the buttons (X is to let passengers on and off right ?). How do you line up with stops - I can't get x to do anything at most stops. Paul |

I will make pictures of the menus, then I will ask my girlfriend to translate them for us. It will take some time, so be patient! Yamanote74 |

The Logitech GT Force steering wheel is well worth getting for it, if you can find it cheap! |

I know that the GT Force is the best choice, but it is very expensive and if you have no space to put it on a table (you canīt simply put it on the legs) then you need a joypad. I thought there should be a PS2 Joypad somewhere out there that has triggers like XBOX controllers have. That would be perfect for controlling Tokyo Bus Guide. Yamanote74 |

Would you believe it, after letting my son have a go I thought I was loading my save in but was saving my son's (no points) score over the top of my save  I have learnt my lesson. I had got up to the 10th schedule so it could of been worse, just means I will start again. Paul, after you leave a bus stop you must press X to announce the next stop, when stopping at a bus stop make sure you indicate and stop within the box, then press X to open the doors, when everyone is on press X to close the doors(how many people let someone on after closing the doors?) then off you go. I am getting the hang of it now but some of the times are tight and if you get caught in traffic it can be a right pain. I still take some corners a bit tight and end up with a big dent on the side of the bus Yamanote74, that would be great if you do get the menus translated. |

when playing tbg2 i have the camera view inside the bus, but when i'm turning sharp corners, i use the external camera to see how close i am to the pavement. |

My girlfriend has translated the menus for us, she made a Powerpoint presentation (I have made screenshots with my digicam, she added the text). I donīt know how to upload it here, so I sent it to Butch, maybe he can put it online somehow! If not I will upload the file at Rapidshare.de and I will post the download link here! |
