Has anyone ever played Power Shovel? "Power Shovel Simulator gives YOU the chance to do drive around in one of 3 diggers, knocking down buildings and doing whatever else you've always wanted to do in a one hundred thousand kilo 'power shovel'. The game tries to simulate the experience as closely as possible by using a 2 joystick & 2 pedal control method just like the real thing, with considerable force feedback on both the joysticks and seats. The game has 2 modes - serious mode and 'fun' mode. In serious mode you perform tasks such as loading trucks with sand before moving on to larger more skilled tasks like demolishing buildings and clearing roads. After each task your performance is judged on such points as safety conciousness. Theres also graduation exams for each class of digger. Alternatively, In fun mode you have an assortment of 9 bizzare tasks to carry out, including smashing 'evil' luxury cars (!!??!), rescuing turtles and mixing giant curries. Finally theres a head-to-head 2 player option where 2 people can compete in a best out of 3 contest on any of the 'fun' tasks... Or as the manual says 'The screen display is divided into two. The excitement will surely get into full swing between friends, a couple or a parent and a child.' " |

I got the PAL version which is much rarer than the US version. http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/psx/data/915195.html They also made a forklift game (at least for PSX), but I can`t find any info about it anymore. And a wheel loader sim wouldn`t be necessary, as I could drive one at work. They should do a PS2 version of it, because the wacky "BCV - Battle Construction Vehicles" isn`t that good. http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/data/577383.html |

For 2 Pound at the bottom of the bargain bin I wouldn`t say no, but 14,99 Pound MSRP is way too much.
You can fight with many different construction vehicles which got different features and special moves, the story is totally wacky, the game is hard and the worst thing are the controls - only with the d-pad, no a-sticks.
