Ok, the question is simple and stupid, which train do you prefere playing with, if you have a favorite one, in all the Densha de GO! Games? |

![]() Typical one to choose, but the mix of the ambient music from densha shinkansen and the speed of the shinkansen 500 series, makes this my favorite! |

I would go for the Meitetsu 7000 Panorama Train from the Nagoya Railroad (Meitetsu):![]() Not a beauty, but interesting. |

I hate that horn so much xD I prefer the whistle of the D50, so imposing! =P Returning back to the post, my actual favourite game is Ryojou-hen, though DDGO! Final is not bad at all also, anyways at the end I play more the first one that the other one, I guess that Ryojou-hen has something that Final! is missing... Oh btw, I just noticed I rode bad xD My favourite train is for excellence the D51, but I do also like old electric EMUS like the S/103 =P Edited by Densha103, Aug 22 2011, 09:23 PM.

You have to admit that horn is unique though (even if it's not a 'real' horn)! As I played the Densha games more and more, the 201 class really grew on me: ![]() Still looks best in Chuo Line/Osaka Loop Line-orange though! |

It's a really personal thing for me. My favorites would definitely be those I've actually ridden (and others I've seen firsthand) in Japan. Too many to mention, but it includes a ton of Shinkansen and plenty of local lines in Osaka, Kyoto, Fukuoka, Nara, and Tokyo. If I had to choose one Shinkansen, however, it would be the 700. I adore the 500 and have seen it firsthand (see here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/vanadium/collections/) but the 700 was always a dream to ride across Japan, from Tokyo to Fukuoka and points in between. I have plenty of great memories sitting back and enjoying the beautiful city and country views along the way with a Suntory Premium Malts and a pack of Mild Sevens while the 700 Series took my wife and I throughout Japan. Of course, in a more local sense I really enjoyed the E231-500 on the Yamanote Line in Tokyo (even during rush hour when we became sardines in a can), but I also really enjoyed plenty of the private non-JR lines in Kyoto, Osaka, and Fukuoka alike. Taking in the historically beautiful and dignified livery of the Hankyu Line in Kyoto toward Arashyama is a beautiful 45-minute ride I must recommend. Just be sure to visit the Yatai near the river after your jaunt to Monkey Park! To be honest, I couldn't choose just one train because I've never met one in Japan I didn't like. It's amazing, really. Compared to Chicago here in the U.S., Japan has us beat by light years in terms of quality rail-based transit. Putting it back into the context of DDG, playing it, regardless of the line I'm challenging at the time, reminds me both of just how right they got it and how much I miss riding each and every one of them every day we were there in the last couple of years--it's both overwhelming and beautiful to experience the sheer variety and timeliness of their rolling stock firsthand. And we're talking almost a month spent there between 2009 and 2010 on JR Rail Passes, Suica cards, and pocket change. If we weren't expecting our first child this November, we'd probably be back there yet again. They could put a push-cart in a DDG title and they'd still somehow make it unbelievably great to conduct, and I keep wishing they had put the Doctor Yellow and/or the East-i diagnostic trains as Easter Eggs somewhere in the series. Until new DDG titles come up--if they ever do--I just have to enjoy what's out there already! |

I like the 223 as well. I also love the Hokuhoku line trains, the 681 series and the HK100 tram in particular. One of the 681 series' liveries is "White Wing" which reminds me of Negima (the main character's alliance later on in the manga is called Ala Alba which means White Wing in Latin) and the HK100 has a cool paintjob. If they had included the Hankyu Railway in a DDG game I'd love it-the railway was part of the infamous "Densha De D" parody manga (the multi-track drifting one) and getting to drive those trains would be a treat. |

Interesting you'd mention that, as I saw a 'Densha de D' PC game in a shop the other day. I'd never heard of it before and it looked silly indeed, combining DDG and Initial D like that! |
