Following the description in an old thread, I managed to get to the Unbalance Download shop and purchased Professional and Shinkansen.
Shink up and running okay but does anyone have an idiot's guide as to what the options menu on Pro does, please?

Cool Steam Locomotive in Ryojohen

Hi All,
Was playing Ryojohen the other night and got a perfect run on Matsuyama with the No. 2005 tram, and I was awarded with a really cool steam locomotive! I had seen the locomotive several times on the route when driving other trams, and I was hoping to get to drive it. And I did! This locomotive outclasses all the other trams when it comes to driving abilities. It accelerates and brakes really fast, and it has a really high top speed. Neither does it have you stop at every station.
Just wanted to hear if anyone else have unlocked this SL??
(If this is a common part of the game or not)
Will post pics later on

I've finally found it. Well, it's not worth 200E that they want for it, but if it only could get any cheaper, I could forget about PS2 and totally move to PC.

New densha de go site (ran by a scumbag)
Posted by Densha (Admin) at Nov 25 2008, 10:45 PM. 2 comments
Some scumbag has bought the domain for densha-de-go.com the day my contract ran out. The new website is not run by me, and is simply a case of someone taking advantage / credit for my hard work getting the domain at the top of search engines for densha de go!.
So once again densha-de-go.com has nothing to do with this forum, and a big fuck you to marco the new owner of densha-de-go.com, who has now denied most densha fans of getting info from this forum! (unless they have the old/new domain bookmarked)
EDIT: I've just been researching and it looks like its now owned by someone who buys domains the day they run out. It looks like he has no interest in densha de go, but puts some basic info on the site and lets the google ads make him money.
His website.. http://www.tiepido.com
His whois info.. http://who.godaddy.com/WhoIs.aspx?domain=densha-de-go.com&prog_id=godaddy

Good news for all of you who still remember me, and my ol' Densha web page. I've just ordered the first two PC Densha games (the last two I was missing in my collection) and hopefully around the 2nd week of next month it's going to be available for all that might want it. According to rules and regulations of this place, I can't say anything more, but probably you all know what I mean ;).
FS: Densha De GO! Shinkansen Game & Controller
Posted by sukotsu (Members) at Sep 25 2008, 08:43 AM. 0 comments
Hi, Well after much debate with myself I am reluctantly selling my Densha De GO! Shinkansen controller along with the PS2 game.
The Controller was bought by myself from Japan earlier this year and was bought brand new and sealed.
The Controller has only been used a handful of times and with great care, it is still in brand new condition.
The same goes for the game bought from eBay still sealed. The seal has been broken but the game has not been used once.
The game still includes the Japanese registration card.
They are both in collectors condition and I would love to keep them but I just dont have the time to use them and a new car forces sale
If your interested the auction is listed here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=170265120296
Thanks

It's a brand new PSP sealed Densha de go Pocket Yamanote line (Taito Best) copy.
It's USD25.00.
If you want, just let me know and I will post it on ebay for you to bid.

Although I sold my import PS2 and DDG games a while ago, I retained the three PSP Pocket versions. Was looking the other day for Pocket Osaka and apart from expensive Ebay sources (and one's with poor feedback, too) there's not any around. In fact, a search on Yes Asia for "Densha" and "Railsim" only brought up a handful of titles - Dendha the two versions of Final for PS2 plus controller and Train Simulator/ Railfan just the Taiwan high speed route. Even less than a year ago, Yes Asia was an excellent source even for some of the older titles.
I wonder if Taito have had a mass delete from their back catalogue - even the PSP stuff?
Begin to wish I'd hung on to the PS2 and the games now.
